ebay money back guarantee is flawed
I bought a T shirt and it was posted & delivered to the wrong address in Sydney (I'm in Melbourne) so the tracking states that it was delivered and the seller is wriggling out of this so I have no T shirt & no refund. It's a farce & I'll not be buying on ebay again as the risks are too high. I'm mostly a seller on ebay and that is hard enough as well. The systems are very flawed for everyone.

·1 week agoAre you saying the seller provided fake tracking to a different state to yours and eBay accepted it anyway?
Or did you fail to provide the correct address/change the delivery address when you bought?
Or did you buy and then ask the seller to post it to a different address?

OP1 week agoI provided the correct address but the parcel was addressed to someone else (in Sydney) and was picked up by that person but the seller insists that I have picked it up although it's in a different city to me! He's fighting the claim and keeps resending the tracking that states it was picked up. I have an email from Australia post when I complained that it was missing and they have stated that it wasn't addressed to me plus the tracking gives the post office box number that it was delivered to - in Sydney.

·1 week agoThen you open an item not received dispute and follow through with it
If the seller cannot prove delivery to the address you provided with tracking, they cannot win the dispute
It doesn't matter what 'the seller insists' they do not get a say if you open a dispute and cannot show the tracking stating it was delivered . You do not need to go back and forth with the seller at all

·1 week ago · EditedIf you lodged an item not received dispute and stated clearly that the tracking shows delivered to (SYdney Suburb) and you are in (Melbourne Suburb) ebay upholds the dispute in your favor as the tracking must show delivery to your suburb.
You would only lose if you provided the seller the Sydney suburb at checkout
