    Have I been scammed

I ordered a product from Ebay, the $$ have been taken from my account, but I never received a confirmation email?? Getting in contact with Ebay is impossible, so this is my last resort?

How do I speak to someone?? I am in Australia

You need to listen to sandy, she's right.

It isn't an easy job to get in touch with ebay but you can so so via chat. It involves typing back & forth, it isn't a phone conversation, but it can be done if you go through the help pages.

Everything depends on when you bought the item. I can see you are new to buying on ebay.

If an item does not arrive by the estimated due date (which would be listed on the original ad, which you can access in the "My ebay" section), then what you need to do is open an ebay claim for item not received. You need to do that though within the month of that arrival date.

You could message the seller but no matter what they say, if you don't have that item, you need to open an ebay claim soon after the estimated date of arrival has passed. And you need to follow through with it, don't let it lapse.

Unless the seller can prove the item was delivered (ie tracking) then they would lose and you would get a full refund.

PS We can't exactly tell if you were scammed, we don't know enough about when you bought, what you bought, what ebay is showing about the transaction. You may not have been.

Just to add, while you may consider asking other members who actually know eBay policy and who have experience using eBay is your 'last resort' 99.9% of the time people who need help will get far more accurate and factual answers than they will from eBay cs staff who simple type from pre-written scripts and tell the person making contact what they want to here

If you completed the transaction via eBay and follow the proper policy *if* there is an issue, then no, you can't be scammed

eBay is ALL about the buyer

If you use the tools they give you, within the time limits

As are we (being the member to member forum for eBay Australia)

eBay do not sell anything, you buy from sellers who list on eBay

    Why can't you contact eBay?

eBay Help is at the top of every page

    How did you pay?

    what is the item number?

How long ago did you buy?

What was the estimated delivery date?

Did you buy on this account or as a guest?
