Hi. My last purchase; Ryobi Power Head
HI. My last purchase on e-bay was a Ryobi Pole Saw, or at least I thought it was. When my purchase arrived it was only the power head, which is of no use without the pole.
I tried to buy the pole at Bunnings, only to be told that the pole cannot be purchased on its own, you need to buy the complete assembly. Ive tried speaking to Ryobi (in New Zealand) but was told the same thing.
So what to do. Can I purchase the Pole assembly from you?

·2 years agoIf you bought from the ad that has been shown, then no, you were not purchasing the pole.
In that ad, it clearly says it is an attachment.
To me, it is a shame though that the seller didn't add a big line somewhere in the ad to say attachment only-you will need your own pole.
In future, make sure you carefully read every line in any ebay ad. I have sometimes had to read through twice, just to double check exactly what I would be getting etc. Plus carefully examine every photo. It's time consuming but worth the trouble.
You will need to go into My ebay section to contact the actual seller in messages and ask them about possibly buying a pole assembly, but they may not have any.
I think you may have to end up buying the whole assembly from somewhere like Bunnings. Make sure it is compatible & at least then you'd have a spare power head & be able to get some use out of it. Good luck!

·2 years agoFrom the description: "The RYOBI ONE+ 18V Telescopic Pole Pruner Attachment equips your RYOBI hedge trimmer (OHT1860S) or pole pruner (OPP1850) to cut branches up to 150mm thick. It has an 8” (200mm) bar"
Also to second last photo states that this is an attachment to be used with the pole from those kits.
But no the pole is not available separately - do you need a hedge trimmer? Buying a trimmer kit might be the way to get a pole pruner you can use.

·2 years agoHi...was it from the seller with 917 feedback? If it was, I can't see any Ryobi Pole Saws that he has sold. Maybe you misread the item description??
The only way we can help you is if you give us the item number.....

·2 years agoI'm sure that's the one the OP "thought" it included the pole.

·2 years agoOne could be forgiven for thinking it includes the pole............
Its 30°-angled head helps you access tricky branches while keeping your weight balanced – even when using all 2.9m of the telescopic pole’s reach. The telescopic pole extends and collapses smoothly once attached, so setting up and packing up is quick and easy.
Plus a pole can be seen in some of the pictures, including the one that shows what's in the box.

·2 years agoThere isnt any picture showing whats in the box (assuming it is the right ad), the picture shows what attachments work with the pole, it is a standard ryobi picture for the range.
The ad clearly says it is the attachment only, and even one of the pictures clearly states that the attachment is only compatibles with XYZ products. I dug out an old ad from bunnings which is virtually the same.
No real issue, I withdraw my previous advise of raising a Item not as described.

·2 years agoWhat did the ad say, maybe you can put in an item not as described claim, if it actually mentioned the pole in the ad.
Worth checking

You can't post wanted to buy requests on the forum though

OP2 years agoHi Sandy
Can you please send me a copy of the receipt for the Ryobi Power head that I purchased. Bunnings have informed me if I have a copy of the original receipt they will exchange the Power head for me.
Regards,

·2 years agoNo can do, you are posting on a member forum
People here are members like you
You did not buy from me
Nobody here, including myself have any possible way of having or getting a copy of your receipt since your purchase did not come from anyone responding here (you did not make this purchase from another member here)
You are going to have to send the seller you purchased from a message via eBay messages
