How to get the Manufacturer's Warranty?
Summary: The discussion is about obtaining a manufacturer's warranty, but the participants did not provide any specific content related to the topic. Therefore, there are no details or outcomes to summarize from this interaction.
I lost about $600 some years ago from eBay because I did not get the manufacturers warranty on 2 expensive electronic items.
The items were an expensive "gaming" mouse and keyboard.
The keyboard was pretty much faulty out of the box with non-responsive keys and a button on the mouse jammed up after a few weeks of use.
The seller only gave a refund option of about a week and at the time I did think to kick up a fuss about it with eBay.
I then contacted the manufacturer "Razer" and they told me that eBay is not an "official Razer seller" and thus I am not eligible for the manufacturer's warranty.
I just bought a new GPU and the day it arrived I asked the seller about gettting the manufacturers warranty. I waited some days and got no reply. I then left neutral for him and then I got this message back "We handle the warranty."
I then contacted the manufactuer, in this case it was a GPU maker called "Sapphiretech." They told me I must contact the seller here on eBay to get the manufactuers warranty. So, I contact the seller back and asked for the details to get the manufacturers warranty and again I get no response.
Has anyone had this problem before? How can I get my warranty in the future when buying off eBay?

·2 years agoI guess I’ll admit I’ve been scammed, stung, ripped off, conned, hoaxed and “frauded”. As the old saying goes, if it looks too good to be real, it’s not real. I purchased a Frigidaire dehumidifier on eBay “in original box” (ie, NEW, right?) from a 99.5% positive Seller. Two to three months later it starts making a loud sound and now it’s not drawing moisture from the air. So I contact Frigidaire who says the item is REFURBISHED (per SN) and the warranty is void. I now find I cannot revise my initial (good) feedback on this Seller and eBay simply states it is out of the 30 or 60 whatever day window for the Money Back Guarantee. What the h___??!! Now I’m seeing other warranty issues and realize I’m out $191 to save $20-$30. Stupid once but not twice. I'm deleting my eBay account and the App. I think the website should be shut down.

The less people buying from dodgy sellers the better
You clearly did not purchase from an authorised seller or there would have been no issue
And also no warranty since you bought from a random
And no, you don't get to revise your feedback outside the time limit either
