I have been scammed and they used a good scam so that ebay is doubting my claim

I ordered 5 65w fast chargers from a seller and they only sent one and put tracking on it so when it arrived, it now shows "DELIVERED" and they got my money. I sent a item not received claim but because it says "DELIVERED", ebays response is im not looking hard enough for it, look around the mailbox, etc..... I saw the mailman and the 1 item put into my box so no the rest is not anywhere else around, im not that stupid. It said to wait until DEC 3rd and then ebay may help me but im not holding my breath, like how is waiting until the 3rd gonna help anything?? I sent the scammers 2 messages and they ignored them both so I took a pic of the package and put it with negative feedback on their item and they already deleted it so they are obviously avoiding being held accountable so I feel hopeless now. Is getting my bank to do a chargeback the only way im gonna get my money back? Like i said, i have pics- i still have the package the one item came in to show the bank and my purchase history will back up my claim because it clearly says 5 items.

·8 months agoThere is a common scam where they send you something that is tracked but it is not the item you ordered, but something much cheaper.
Ebay can only go on the evidence, not just a claim that you make, which is fair enough. For myself, I was able to resolve it as the mail provider had weight information stored for tracking, so that I could send that to eBay and get a refund as the item delivered and the item ordered had different weights.

OP8 months ago-If i put this on the wrong forum, can it be moved to the US forum, or should I go there and just start another thread? Sorry about this, my browser does some wonky redirects nowdays it seems.

Is the seller registered in Australia?
You said yourself, you opened an item not received claim, which is telling eBay you did not receive anything at all
And most important at all, never buy such items from random sellers registered in China/Hong Kong. They are NOT safe and NOT the same as buying from a legitimate brand/company in China or anywhere else
They are knock off hazards highly likely to cause serious injury, or far worse
If you ordered 5 and only got 1, then you needed to open a not as described if they were supposed to be sent together on the one tracking number
Was it the one tracking number?
Is this from the seller registered in China with the rubbish feedback, or the one in Hong Kong with the rubbish feedback?
Check feedback before buying will avoid supporting scammers
And if things do go wrong, you need to open the correct dispute and follow through with it

OP8 months agoNo im in the US, not sure how i ended up on the AU site, my browser directs me to here when I searched for ebay forums (I use yandex?). The pic of the charger says "US SELLER" big at the top of the page and it says it ships from LA but somehow one email i got regarding my case redirected me to the chinese ebay site, i corrected the url and removed the .hk and it just changed to english, everything was still the same. Ive went back and i cant find the link i used that did that, they all take me to ebay.com now, idk what happened.

Just because the photo says, does not mean it is
And if it is one of the sellers who all have rubbish feedback, it is even less likely
Just as here on OZ a photo will have Aussie flags and Aussie seller on the photo but a look at the seller feedback shows registered in China as one of the first things

One feedback even shows:
"Cheap garbage and fire hazard,these things spark when you plug them in and hum like I’m expecting a tornado"
As you're in the US and you purchased on the US site, I recommend you ask for help on the US forum as they're very experienced with your exact problem

OP8 months agoThe ones ive already got from them dont hum? They work fine for what i use them for, i know they are cheaper but imo thats all they are worth, all of the official samsung chargers ive had stop and restart charging and eventually stop completely, never to charge again. Hate going in to work and picking up my phone and its only half charged or lower... Anyways thanks for the help, ill post in the US forum and see if i get any advice on how to go about this.

·8 months agoIt's probably a Chinese seller who has a warehouse or stock in US.
It's fine to have asked about things on this board. The only problem would be that sometimes ebay doesn't run things exactly the same in both countries so the advise you get here might not always be accurate, but I'd think a lot of the time it would be on track.
Sandy is right, sounds as if you opened the wrong kind of case, an item not received claim.
You'll probably lose it because they have tracking to show a delivery.
The good news is you can close that case and open a new claim, for an item not as described. This time you say only partial order received and you can even show a photo of the packaging & weight to back up your claim, if you still have those.
You stand a good chance of winning that claim.
If by any chance you didn't and you paid via paypal, you could open a claim with them, but again, be careful what you claim and follow it up. Don't claim via paypal though until you have tried ebay. Good luck.
And what the others said about Chinese items coming direct from China-it can be bad news & some items can be dangerous so I personally tend to avoid China for some items. I know they can make great stuff, they are perfectly capable of making things up to specifications, but the trouble is, the items you buy direct may not be up to US specifications, which is why they are so much cheaper.

OP8 months agoIt is item #388942656510, and i paid with my banks debit card. I didnt know which to pick, the one item i got is as described, I alredy bought one of these a month ago from the same seller and i got a email from ebay that they recently went on sale so i went back and bought 5 and I only got 1 delivered.
