You do not need to contact eBay, nor for eBay to contact you

You need to open and follow through with an item not as described dispute

Don't let the seller tell you they will refund you if you close the dispute, or trick you into thinking they will send a replacement. They won't

The seller you left the neg for has AWFUL feedback, 57 negs in the past year alone and 7 in the past four weeks

Please check feedback before you buy, you would have instantly seen what a scammer this seller is

What help exactly do you think eBay should provide?

Surely you don't need their help to click on "Return this item"... or are you wanting their help to select the radio button next to "Item didn't match description"... or perhaps you're thinking eBay should help you wait for the return postage label.

Sorry, but without more details nobody could possibly know what help you are expecting.

You were given factual advice within FOUR MINUTES of posting. It seems you choose to ignore that factual advice and not open a dispute. Since you have not attempted to do what you needed to do, eBay have no idea you had an issue. Which you could have avoided by not supporting such a dodgy seller to start with, and by opening an item not as described dispute. Which again, you were advised to do within minutes of your post.
