·9 months agoThe first thing I would do is contact the courier, whoever that might be.
They would normally have a photo of it being left and that way, you could see if it was actually left at your house or not.
There are a few things that could be happening
-it could have been stolen from your porch.
-it could have been delivered to the wrong address
-it could be a fake tracking number.
So gather as much information as you can, as quickly as you can.
Things can get more complicated if it is a delivery from overseas.
But if the estimated delivery date as listed on ebay has passed, then you are going to need to open an item not received claim.
The seller has the right of reply and will need to supply a tracking number and proof of delivery. That's why you need to gather as much info about this tracking number before you open a claim, so you can contest it if it is a fake.

Was it delivered to YOUR name and address ?
In the worst case scenario, if it was addressed to someone else and / or a different address in Australia, there's always the possibility of a fake tracking scam.
Opening an 'item not received ' dispute in this case would NOT be the best thing to do.
All a scammer has to do is upload the fake tracking number and the dispute would close immediately if the tracking showed delivered.
It's not always impossible to receive a refund in this situation but it's not straightforward.
What is the item number ?

·9 months agoOP, if you can explain a little more about this, we can help you more effectively.
It may well be that you would be best off opening an INR case now, in order to be refunded. However, if your item is coming from overseas, the notification may indicate arrival at the domestic depot from which the item will be despatched internationally. (In that case, it’s premature to open a dispute and in fact you probably won’t be able to open it yet as the notification isn’t of delivery to your address.)
So … is this an item coming from overseas?
You’re not permitted to post the seller’s username or details here, but listing the item number is fine. Can you post that here? The item number will allow us to check various things such as usual timeframe of delivery, seller location, pattern of red flags if present, etc., and we’d offer suggestions to you based upon that.

·9 months agoMy advice to you would be to skip this forum, you will be subjected to numerous questions that will simply waste your time. Go straight to Ebay : This is how to do that.
"Your item was not delivered
If the estimated delivery date for your item has passed, go to your Purchase history & select I didn’t receive it.
This opens a request so we can track the seller’s response. You can ask us to step in & help if the seller has not resolved your concerns within 3 business days."

·9 months agoAs the other members have pointed out, the OP's path to resolution can vary depending on where the item was coming from, when it was sent and who the courier was.
Your degree of helpfulness hasn't changed much over the years....disparaging the members here who certainly know a lot more than the usual CS rep, certainly doesn't help.

·9 months agoYes, the questions are valid, seeing little information has been imparted

·9 months agoProbably a good idea if you read the OP's question again, and attempt to comprehend what needs to be addressed here. Wherever the item was sent from, whoever the sender was, who the carrier was and all the what, when and who questions you like to nose into , is really of no consequence when you understand that, "parcel was delivered 2 days ago. It wasn't. What do I do now?
Even though I have a pretty clear picture of how this forum, operates, as well as some of the members, I am completely at a loss to understand why the question can-not be answered without a third degree. Nothing hard to understand about the question, just needs to be analysed, and not the OP

·9 months agoSeeing as the OP hasn’t been back, you are assuming….but we need more info….

·9 months agoAssuming???? just what am I assuming? Just check and see that it wasn't me me that posted the crazy assumption, "the worst case scenario" (msg 4) . Perhaps you don't know what that word means. Of course you need more info ...... Have you any idea why the OP hasn't been back here to be questioned and badgered by you, badi and co??...
I'm assuming now that the op has sorted the problem out, either with better advice from elsewhere or the missing delivery isn't missing anymore.

·9 months agoTo answer your question...
You're assuming that you can give accurate advice without first considering all relevant information.
You're assuming that your advice won't cause the OP any grief if and/or when it turns out to be inappropriate.
You're assuming that the latest estimated delivery date has passed.
You're assuming that the item was a domestic delivery, so no delivery hub was involved.
You're assuming that the seller used a logistics company which doesn't outsource any part of their delivery process.
I could go on, but there's really no point in doing so.

·9 months agoNo assuming in regards to your responses to the OP, where you are knowingly giving them bad ‘advice’ so you can contradict members you dislike
You have no interest in helping the OP, you know nothing of what their individual situation is and are just telling them something opposite to what everyone else has said to make yourself feel good

·9 months agoHave you contacted the delivery company and asked?
They should have a photo of where it was left, so you can see if it was indeed delivered to your address
Do you have a Ring doorbell or some kind of security camera to check?
OR
Was it a parcel coming from overseas and it says it has been delivered into Australia for the journey to your home?

Was it sent via A.P. or courier, or from overseas?
