I recently ordered articles from two different suppliers. Both stated that stock was ex Sydney.

Summary: bjoconnor2008 initiated a discussion about ordering articles from two different suppliers who both claimed their stocks were based in Sydney. sandgroperdj, sandypebbles, repentatleisure1952, twyngwyn, and noeleebisho0 participated with brief responses in the conversation. Despite the multiple entries, the discussion did not provide further content or details about the order or the outcome, leaving the thread with no substantial information beyond the initial statement.

Supplier  supplied an item that took 11 days to arrive. It shows an Australia Post label but a return address in Suite 32, Level 3, Building 4B, Lord Street, Botany. 2019. I have issues with this item and have contacted the supplier regarding the misleading description of the item. The second order took 14 days to arrive and has a similar Australia Post label and exactly the same return address in Botany. Investigation reveals that both of these suppliers are based outside Australia. I suspect that these items were both posted from China. Perhaps this is a method to avoid GST?? I do not deal with mainland China due to issues in the past. Both of these suppliers listings appear to be legitimate Australian suppliers when they are clearly not.

I did order another item from a legitimate Australian supplier based in Sydney and the item of similar size took only 7 days. Another item ordered from an Australian supplier also based in Sydney, took only two days to arrive.

It would be best to open a case through eBay. I always check where the seller is based, as many show an Australian address on the listing, however when you check the seller profile you will generally see that they are located in China.  I have had issues with some Chinese sellers in the past, but I must admit that there are still some Chinese sellers who are legitimate and will correct any issues that arise.

Hi I am also having trouble with this address. I ordered some engineering items from  a company of ebay from a supposedly company  in Australia. I am trying to return the goods as they are inaccurate and are only of any use as scrap metal. I have also been given another  address to return them to in Granville NSW! Post office don't recognise the address!!!.  All I am getting is the  runaround from these people. They do not want to abide by ebay rules and obviously do not want to return my money. The phone number given is in China!!

Rather than tack onto a thread from years ago, it is better to start your own

eBay do not sell anything or have companies.

It would have shown where the seller was registered before you bought, and no doubt would have shown China .

Did you open an actual not as described dispute?

Who gave you the Granville address?

No need for any run around if you follow the proper process,

or better yet, don't support dodgy sellers to start with

IF it is the seller who starts with T, it clearly shows they are in China, and their feedback is in the toilet
