·1 year agoAs said in the other replies, this item is being sold by sellers in China.
I actually agree that such rubbish items oughtn't to be sold on eBay. However, eBay won’t remove such listings. eBay Australia has limited ability / power to act when it comes to sellers registered on eBay.cn, and eBay China won’t act as China has no particular interest in ensuring fakes and rubbish items made as cheaply as possible in Chinese factories for western markets meet Australian safety standards.
That means it’s up to us as buyers to exercise tremendous care. That is the practical step we can take to protect ourselves.
The onus is on the buyer. Buying cheaply from a seller registered in China equals huge risk. Don’t do it.

They are in China - what do you expect.

·1 year agoFirst of all you've broken the forum rules by naming the seller
"no Australian Plug"
Apart from not buying electrical goods from sellers registered in China,
it's a good idea to read ALL of the details in a listing as this one clearly states twice:
Specification: (No Sensor & No AU plug)
Features : (No Sensor & No AU plug)

eBay rarely read here and eBay will not do anything about sellers in China
Why on earth did you buy the thing?
Every single listing has a report button
Just because it is listed does not mean buy it
The seller is a random in China, obviously something like this is a danger and not to Australian Safety standards.
Do not buy electrical and related items from random sellers in China and except anything safe/fit for use here. The regulars here (other members) you are blaming know better than to buy anything like this from overseas randoms
You have full control over what you buy and from whom
Like some of the other negs you have left are for dodgy sellers registered in China who you chose to support

·1 year agoYou say eBay is not doing nothing, which indicates they are doing something.
There's no point notifying us here. The people who frequent the community pages would know better than to buy such rubbish.
If your product is not as described, the first thing you should do is open a return request, and follow the steps to get your money back.
Then take your refund to Bunnings or the like and put it towards the cost of buying your light from a reputable seller.
