I'm really puzzled by this and I'm stuck with what to do.
On 31 May I purchased an item which came from China with an estimated delivery date of 20 June.
I subsequently received messages from eBay saying that my item was ready to collect and I must collect it by 7 June.
On 6 June (today) I go to collect it from Hey Felix Front Desk HUBBED, and it's not there.
According to them, it arrived on 31 May but there is no record of it being collected.
They have no idea what to do other than contacting the courier.
But there is no courier.
According to eBay order details, my package is ready to collect.
If I click <Track Package> it tells me my order was sent on 30 May (timeline difference I assume)
and that on 2024/06/05 12:28 Export Customs Declaration Completed CN.
So it left China, by air on 5th June.
As far as I can tell, I have to wait until after 20 June to lodge an order not received case.
Is that all I can do?
Help!

OP2 years agoThanks to everyone who replied.
My item finally arrived 2 days ago and I have just collected it.
It turns out that a lot of people have been having issues with eBay messaging going crazy lately.
I hadn't noticed but I got "Item ready to collect" messages from the very day I purchased the item.
I continued to get messages after the cut off date for collection (7 June) .
Yesterday I even got a message from the seller - it seems an item not delivered case had been opened, although I didn't open it, I don't have any open cases, and the date for opening such cases would be 20 June!
Starting to wonder if Elon Musk has secretly bought eBay!

·2 years agoGood that you got your item😃.
In regards to the 'not delivered ' case, is it possible the click and collect point opened the case as they hadn't received it even though you had received notification that they had???
Thanks for coming back and letting us know the outcome.

A year later, but I found this message thread when searching for the same problem I have.
A big failure rate with items not arriving at the HUBBED Click and Collect location despite messages saying they were delivered.
The last one a few weeks ago was like yours - tracking showing the item was delivered a mere 12 hours after I bought it at 1:00am that morning. The seller was surprised to hear of the Delivered status since he hadnt even packed it yet!
IMHO the whole Click and Collect system has huge bugs in it.
Fortunatly ebay has a good refund policy, but where, physically do these "Delivered" items even end up?

·2 years agoI agree with countess in that I think you need to get all your documentation in order, all your records, then contact ebay right now. Via chat or call back.
There is no way that an item bought on 30 or 31st may was here on 31 May.
The collection point has it wrong in their records. It never arrived then at all. Maybe it entered their computer system as an item then, but it had not arrived.
Contact ebay and if you get no sense from whoever you chat to, contact them again. Ask for a record of the chat. They usually send that.
I'd do all this today and see if ebay will open a claim on your behalf. If not, then the police stat dec, depending on the cost of the item. And a follow up contact with ebay.

·2 years agohow can it possibly arrive on the day of purchase?.....wait until the last day of (estimated) delivery & lodge INR case then, if required.

·2 years agoI think that you should be contacting eBay Live Chat and ask for case to be opened on your behalf. Explain the situation. It might be a good idea for you to go immediately to police station to make a stat dec, and have it ready to upload to eBay when you talk to CS.
Do all of this today.

·2 years agoLets be real here - if you purchased on May 31 there is no way in the world it is going to be here by June 6. The date of June 20 seems more realistic.
Agre with Sandy, double whammy on this one.

OP2 years agoI the message from eBay I missed this:
"We'll hold your parcel until the date listed above. If not collected by then, you will no longer be able to be covered by eBay Money Back Guarantee to claim a refund."
So that's great, I can't collect it because they haven't got it, although their records say they received it, and so I can't get a refund.
That's the last time I will use click and collect. It may be the last time I use eBay.

·2 years agoNot using click and collect is a very good plan
There are enough issues buying from sellers in Australia and using it, let alone China
And avoiding buying from sellers in China if they have awful feedback is always a good idea

·2 years agoBuying from China and Click and Collect .....yikes, double whammy
What was a the seller's feedback like?
Possibly a fake 'tracking' number ?
pecksterism
OP2 years agoFWIW seller's feedback was 100%.
