Odd Extreme postage
Does anyone know whats up with this? Iv got some items here claiming to post "To Australia", but then tell me they wont post to my address in Australia, but now I've got....this beauty. Which would also be sending from Australia to Australia. Shouldn't leave the country.

·2 years agoI am not positive, but I think some time ago I heard of a glitch with the app that indicated free postage when it was not free. Now, if the app is really the issue, it could indicate $1,500+ postage when it's free. 🙄😒😲

·2 years agoI am using a laptop with Windows 11 by the way.
I have never used the app, but I have heard it has glitches, so I wonder if those who see that price are using the app by any chance?

·2 years agoI am using a laptop with windoze 10 (I refuse to upgrade to 11 because my husband's laptop is a nightmare with 11). I haven't searched using the app because to be frank, I really can't be bothered.
I still see the obscene price, despite being 2 hours from Sydney and my VPN turned off.

·2 years agoWell, that's odd indeed for those who see that absurd postage.
Yes, the only option is probably to contact the seller and ask for an adjusted invoice, as eBay won't have a clue as to why this happens.

·2 years agoIf it is one of eBay's glitches, the OP could contact the seller and ask for an adjusted invoice I guess?
The banner Sandy and I mentioned yesterday is on the US site. I had googled the name of the store and then clicked on the link that came up, but it was actually the US store and site: https://www.ebay.com/str/bargainshopperswarehouse
The Aussie store seems to be open and functional.

·2 years agoThe seller has 2 listings, and both are free for me, also when I am logged out or use a VPN. I live in NSW, but this does not seem to be the issue.

·2 years agoI'm only a few hours from Sydney, yet getting the high postage cost. Yes, I do use a VPN but it's been turned off for a few days, so it's not that. Interesting why some are showing free postage, yet others are showing obscene postage. Maybe one of the free postage members can buy for the OP? 😄 😄 😄 😄

·2 years agoIt's free postage for me too, and I guess it is what it should be. Not sure why the OP gets that postage price. Maybe they are using a VPN or something?

·2 years agoI had thought the same, arcto, so out of curiosity I tried a VPN with another browser (not logged in) selecting Canada, and it is still free, although it does not mention 4-day postage... just free...

·2 years agoWell, it looks like the OP decided to just give up.

·2 years agoYou neglected to mention the big blue banner on their page showing 'we are sold out'
Likely that postage serves as a 'place holder' as they don't think anyone is going to be stupid enough to bid with that kind of postage

OP2 years agoCan you show me the big blue banner? I don't see any banner, just a listing for "8 Available"

OP2 years agoI clicked on the seller's page and had a look around, and I still can't see any blue banner what you guys are talking about. But I can see how it at least logically makes sense as them being out of stock being the reason they set the postage to that silly number, so I guess I'll just assume that's the reason. Seems like maybe rather than setting the postage to $1500, it'd be easier and make more sense to just set the "Available" as 0, or take the listing down or something but I guess that's just my opinion. Thanks guys.
