Order was cancelled then item was listed again for more money
Purchased two items from a seller and 12 hours later one item was cancelled from order. The seller said that it is no longer available from the supplier. Yet, they have listed the exact same item for more money. Is this allowed?

·3 years agoA seller can list items for whatever price they wish, except in cases of price-gouging essential/urgent items (such as hand sanitiser, face masks, etc., during a pandemic).
It's not good form, and if the seller cancelled with the reason that they are out of stock, they'd have received a black mark from eBay... but there isn't anything preventing a seller from listing an item at a higher price, particularly if obtaining the item through alternative supply chains makes it more costly to source.
