1. eBay don't take the GSP shipping fee. Pitney Bowes do.
2. I’ve already told you that the high postage fee will be due to the seller not having input the weight and dimensions of the listed item. Without that input, the charge is calculated on the default settings. If you ask a seller to enter those details, the GSP portion will come down.
3. Everyone here knows about the “undeliverable” items. If you’d bothered to search the boards, you would have seen many threads discussing this.
4. Childish insults and repeated attempts to launch expletives on these boards will only see you sanctioned and cause you to be regarded as immature, illogical and negatory.
5. Many buyers in these boards do not like the GSP. We don’t carry on like toddlers; we just don’t buy… or use parcel forwarders instead… or ask the seller if they’d agree to use an alternative postage method — something constructive.
No.1 the global /bowes rippoff is contracted to ebay
No.2 ebay taxes shipping cost as well as the aussie govt whereas Ebay has no right to tax shipping cost!
No.3 thats the best thing contact the seller and save 50% and more on shipping most sellers will totally agree on an alternative shipper and don't know what the rippoff that is bowes they want to just sell their offerings !
No.4 ebay has lost the plot by engaging the rippoff global in the first place.
no.5 complain enough and maybe they ditch the rippoff that is global international shipping huh maybe.
no.6 calculated on the default setting you say ....... ha... sure thing a one kilo 6by6 coin ...pffft!
no.7 slowing but surely falling to the greed of the shareholders !
no.8 the sooner ebay gets some competition the better!
Good evening Mr Crustacean. If Australia introduced Global Shipping, I'd be signing up in a heartbeat. I wouldn't be able to sign on the dotted line quick enough. I send my stuff to the hub, then my job is done. Someone else's problem after that. Certainly not mine.
forget ebay global it's a blatant rippoff contact the seller and ask for another company ( usps) i guarantee you will save half if not more in shipping fee's!
by the way, bowles shipping cost us105$ shipping from Utah to nsw for a coin yes a bloody coin i contacted the seller and he claimed he didn't know about this HORRENDOUS RIPPOFF!!! and sent me a new receipt ...guess what 14$us through USPS and it's on it's way!!!
If the price is italicised, yes. But be aware it is an estimate as the conversion rate, plus conversion fees, will be what is current at the time of payment.

eBay has replaced (in the US) the GSP with EIS some time ago.
Surely someone as clever as you is aware of this.

The global shipping covers sellers within their own country - all they have to do is prove - they sent it - to there.
What happens or does not happen afterwards they are totally covered for/by.
