payment
Hi,
I paid for an item I purchased this morning I was charged $70 when it should have been $28. I would like my extra money returned to my account. And I would like to know why I was charged $70.
thank you for your time

·1 year agodid you see a promotion about free shipping with eBay Plus? The one that offers a $5 voucher on your next purchase?
eBay has been pushing eBay Plus recently. I am just asking if this is a possibility. If it is, it should show as a separate charge to your $28 purchase.
I hope you get this sorted, but if you want reliable help on these discussion boards you will need to provide more detail.
I always encourage full disclosure, as drip-feeding info stifles real solutions.
Other replies have asked for further information. I won't ask again for that information.

Did you get a scammer email claiming to be for an eBay purchase, coincidently soon after you really did buy something from an eBay seller?
Is the $70 an actual real charge on your account ?

·1 year agoI don't know how that could happen.
The ebay system shows you the price before you commit to buy.
If you saw it was $70 payment required, why did you pay?
I would not have.
Or are you saying there is a $70 charge on your bank account? Are you sure it is from your ebay purchase?

I am not sure *how* you were charged $70 if the price shown at check out was $28
If that happened, my first concern would be reporting such an unauthorised charge to your bank
What was the item number?
Was there a 'best offer' involved?
Have you bought more than one item and the $70 is for the total cost of all items, rather than a single item ?
