Hi, could anyone tell me why when i leave feedback for a seller and i attach a photo of the item that i have purchased from them, my photo doesnt show when i check on their feedback list. Twice i have attached a photo of their product to 2 different sellers with my feedback over the last 6 mnths and neither appear when i click on all the sellers feedback, yet i have seen other buyers photos of the item they have purchased from sellers. I dont get any error msg after submitting feedback and photo saying it is not going to be published. Anyone else have this issue? Would love to contact E Bay themselves to find out an answer but surprise, surprise, no human contact help from yet another business.
Thanks in advance : )

·2 years agoThe only other thing I can think of that might cause problems (I don't know for sure) could be photo size. Some websites have a limit on the size of the photo that can be uploaded and I have struck this problem on ebay community boards quite recently.
When it happened, the photo just did not appear on the message when I looked (I was on a phone) till eventually I saw a quick message flash by that the size was too large.

·2 years agoYes, I know exactly what you mean, had the same thing happen to me and I wondered too as I posted a couple of photos and could not see them later either.
All I can tell you is that the images are there. I forget exactly how I got them to show but I know that on some pages of the feedback, they are not visible but when I click in a different way, they are. It's been a while since I did it, sorry I can't recall exact details.

OP2 years agoThanks so much for that. I had a feeling maybe they are there and i just cant see them but didnt want to spend too much time trying to find out if that was the case. I spent so long just seeing if i could email or speak to E Bay and gave up after 30 minutes of trying and resulted on asking on here, so couldnt be bothered seeing if there was another way of seeing if they were really there! Thanks again for responding

OP2 years agoJust contacted one of the sellers to see if he can see the photo i attached to the feedback i left for them and they have said no photo was attached.

·2 years agoHmm. I don't know what the problem could be then. All I can think of is the photo format or size, maybe check out if there are special requirements for that. I am not tech savvy. The way I attached photos was I took a couple with my phone but then I sent them to myself via facebook messenger & downloaded them onto my computer from there. So I don't think the files were very big by that stage.

OP2 years agoNo big deal. Thanks for your help though. Im a bit confused trying to read this thread of mine on here as replies are all showing all over the place so its getting confusing.
As i mentioned in one of my comments, i attached a fairly small photo and also one that was about 3mg so the size didnt make any difference and it doesnt state on the conditions on E Bay, the max size of what a photo should be, unless i just didnt see it.
Not a big deal but was just curious thats all, hence this question. Thanks again for responding

·2 years agoIt looks like this feature only applies to multi Qty listings.
From latest announcement
From 12 March, buyers can see images alongside feedback on your Store or listings across desktop and mobile view and within the eBay app. This feature still only applies to multi-quantity listings.
molly_chick
OP2 years agoAh thank you. So " multi-quantity" listings would mean if i purchased more than one product from that seller?
repentatleisure1952
·2 years agoNo it does not mean that. Read this link please.

·2 years agoNo, multi qty listings, means the seller has listed more than one of the same item in the same listing,
Listing will show how many have been sold and how many are still available. IE: 5 sold 10 available.
springyzone
·2 years agoThat's really weird as I attached photos for a pair of earrings I bought as a gift in about June or July and they were a one off pair, definitely not a multi listing. The person i bought from, I have never seen her list more than one of any particular item as I think she makes them.
I can see the thinking behind the rule in that ebay believes it would be most useful for buyers looking to buy the same item, but sometimes photos are there for another reason and I think should be allowed for single listings too. I know once I attached a photo of an item to show what I received as it did not match the photo in the ad plus it was extremely scuffed.
Molly chick, you said:

That exact same thing happens to me too, but usually on the longer threads.

·2 years agoDo they follow Ebays policy on images,
molly_chick
OP2 years agoHi, yeah its a fairly new thing now where u can attach a photo of the product on to the feedback.
sandypebbles
·2 years agoWe know
But that wasn't the question
The question was do your photos follow eBay's policy on photos
(as in there are 'rules' when it comes to photos)
sugar249
·2 years agoand maybe this answer is your answer, did you understand my question, and did you actually read the guidelines for pictures.
molly_chick
OP2 years agowell i looked at the policies and they dont tell you what the max size is meant to be on photos. Just explains about posting videos and photos must be your own etc, so the 2 different photos i attached, one was about 4mg and the other i reduced down to under 1 mg in case that was the problem. The issue i have is, i received no error after submitting them to say it was not correct so just assumed it went thru ok until i found out i couldnt see it in the feedback.
