Postage to Australia ridiculous...
Is that postage legit? That is insane $700 AUD to post to Australia.. I mean post overseas to here got so bad i literally stopped using Ebay almost completely but this one takes the cake..
179 Euros for the toys ok, they are some what rare, but EUR 385.00 approx. AU $626.57 for postage and Ebay allows this fraud..

OP3 years agoYes it was a mistake... look how much the price is now the postage is fixed. Some mistake. They lowered the postage and cranked up the price to be the same as before.. you don't make two mistakes..

·3 years agoThe simple answer is, don't buy from them. Find someone else to buy from. Or, buy fakes from Aliexpress. It's your choice.

·3 years agoI guess you should thank your lucky stars you're not into Transformers. Check the postage on this one!

As for never buying on ebay again because of one listing with high postage, ebay don't care one bit. You are less than a grain of sand on a beach to them. They don't even know you exist.
As for buying genuine MIB collectables on Aliexpress, good luck with that one! I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.

·3 years agoThe problem had already been solved. It was just a mistake, but sadly the OP doesn't seem to have come back so they probably don't know.

·3 years agoWell, the OP had already fully decided it was 'fraud' so their mind was already made up
Regardless if it was a genuine mistake or not

·3 years agoHow do you know the problem had been solved? People were just coming up with different scenarios of what the issue could be.

·3 years agoIt seems to be the most plausible scenario, considering the seller has similar listings (Iron Factory toys) with much cheaper postage.
Until the OP asks the seller and then comes back to let us know, of course we won't know for sure, but it seems to be quite likely that it was a mistake.

·3 years agoYou thinking a problem has been solved, without any supporting facts, doesn't make it so.

·3 years agoIt may well have been intentional. The items could be getting delivered in a 24ct gold box. Just because you think it's a mistake, doesn't mean it is. Unlikely the OP will be back to clarify.
Maybe they didn't get a reply from the seller because they don't speak English. There are plenty of people around the world who don't funnily enough. Even if they used a translator, what they read can be entirely different to what the message is meant to be, and make no sense at all.
Years ago, a friend went to France and decided to work as a Nanny while she was there. She took French lessons to try and make things a bit easier. She went into a shop, in a village where next to no one spoke any English. She wanted to buy a packet of cigarettes (it was the 80's, smoking wasn't taboo back then). She went in full of confidence and asked for said smokes. The person behind the counter started laughing. Apparently he was one of the few people who could speak some English. Instead of asking for cigarettes, she basically told him he had a gun in his foot.
Even today, translators can be quite unreliable at getting the correct message across.

Eur 385.00 instead of - Eur 38.50
It happens.

·3 years agoLook at the seller's other listings - postage is much cheaper, so it seems to really be a mistake.

·3 years agoI think you should contact the seller and ask them which service they use (in case they don't use "Poste Italiane"), and ask them if they could possibly use "Poste Italiane".
If they do use "Poste Italiane", ask them why it is so expensive, and show them the link I included in my first post.
Ebay chat representatives have no idea about basic issues, let alone postage from Italy, so I doubt they would be able to provide an answer.

·3 years agoTell eBay
They do not read the member to member forum
Nor would they have a single clue what the postage is on the item you link (seeing as they do not vet listings)
Nobody is making anyone buy anything if they think the postage is 'fraud'
(Maybe look up the meaning of the word)
Have you contacted the seller and told them your thoughts?
I bet not

OP3 years agoThey never reply..
sandypebbles
·3 years agoWell they don't 'have' to reply
What matters is you have made contact with the seller and told them what you think
*Edit, if you mean eBay don't reply, they won't respond to emails since those are bot automated.
You would need to use 'eBay' help to live chat
I doubt they would do anything if you reported the postage to them, other than type from their script that tells them to type they will 'look into it'

·3 years agoIt seems to be too much indeed judging from this page (even considering "handling"): https://www.poste.it/files/1476563864250/poste-delivery-international-standard-listino.pdf
