How odd, I've just notice I "have" to rate the item I've purchased to leave seller feedback. I buy a lot of films and music that I don't watch or listen to for months after purchase. Hence, I can no longer give seller feedback without reviewing the actual item. I don't know how long it's been like this, however, I no longer feel comfortable leaving feedback at all. ebay just continues to get.... worse (well done)!

I have not been asked for a review before leaving feedback.
Maybe it's only certain items/categories?

·2 years agoPerhaps someone can steer us to what kind of purchases.
Ie : a toaster - a laptop - a sheet set..............................
Not sure why they are doing this - seems a bit random - to have to review the actual product being sold.
And not the experience with the seller.

It's certainly not happening with stamps.

·2 years agoHow hard is it really to leave a quick thanks when you receive your item. Most seem to find the time to complain though.

OP2 years agoAbsolutely! I can't give feedback on the item as I haven't listened to it or watched it! I do want to leave feedback for the seller who has done everything right, however, making both mandatory means I can do neither ;-(
This is a terrible ebay policy that has no upside, given most item reviews will be worthless (ie people reviewing an item they've never heard/seen).
