Purchased 2 x items, 1 refunded but the other not: Not as described. Options?
Summary: hasher2288 raised an issue about purchasing two items, where only one item was refunded even though both were not as described. countessalmirena didn't provide any substantial information beyond acknowledging the issue, and hasher2288 followed up without any new options or resolutions presented. The discussion did not reach a clear resolution or offer further guidance on the matter.
Hey guys,
Purchased 2 items (same item but different colours) from 2 different seller stores but the business behind the store is the same.
The pictures advertised the item was food safe and even had food using it and I used it but I had a hunch it wasn't food safe (smell, colour, texture etc).
I messaged seller 1 and they said it's NOT food safe and im like **bleep**, thought so. Seller 1 and 2 from chat agreed to return, got the return label, both items were returned at the same time. But only seller 1 refunded the item literally 3 minutes after they received the package. Seller 2 has not, and I even messaged them, they are not responding.
It's only been 2 days, but return process says I can escalate it after X date, but I can't find the button to escalate, will it appear when the refund time expired for the seller?
Also, assumption, my guess they don't want to refund me because it's been used? Thought I should still be eligible since the item was not as described and they admitted it was not food safe

·1 year agoThe option to escalate by asking eBay to step in should appear once 3 business days have lapsed after the item’s tracking information shows delivery.
