Refund fromeBay not received - 10 Days late now
HI there,
Does anyone have experience with following up eBay for a refund?
I have an email from them that's over 10 days old in whicg they say the refund is under review and a decision is due in 48 hours.
I incorrectly bought an item for $9,350.00 but stopped the transacction before the item was shipped. The seller was excellet and authorised the cancellation of the transaction.
I'm now out $9350.00 and still waiting for my refund.
How can I hurry eBay up to review and decide on the case?
Thanks for the help.

I sincerely hope this was not a vehicle, and that you did not go through the so-called eBay Motors.

·3 years agoOP - if you thought you were purchasing a vehicle, and that "eBay Motors" was holding the money in escrow, and the seller TOLD you they were refunding you, and you were informed by an email purporting to be from eBay that you were being refunded - go immediately to your bank. (After hours now, though, so you'll need to phone the number on your credit card or bank statements to report a FRAUD.)
If my horrible suspicion is correct, it will almost certainly be too late to retrieve your funds but you should report it and try.
You should in that case also report it to ReportCyber (https://www.cyber.gov.au/acsc/report) - but enough of that. My suspicion may be ungrounded.
If you are being refunded re a genuine on-eBay transaction, open a fresh browser, type in https://www.ebay.com.au, and check your notifications. If you paid via PayPal, check your PayPal account. If you paid via credit card, check your credit card account.
Hopefully you did not make a bank transfer.
