I received a defective item and initiated a Return Request. This is my first time returning an item. The seller has agreed to the return. My problem is I do not have a 'Postage Label'.
After the seller agreed to the return, I received an email from ebay with a link 'Print Postage Label', when I click on the link it takes me to the Return Item page in my ebay account but there is no link, pdf or anything related to 'Print Postage Label' in that page. After receiving that email I got another one from ebay stating I had posted the item, which I have not and cannot until next week.
The Return Item page in my ebay account has a Australia Post tracking number in it but when I look that up it is invalid.
I have contacted the seller and he said the 'Print Postage Label' pdf is generated by ebay and he can not view it. He said it should be self explanatory.
I have tried contacting an ebay agent but can not get past the automated chat, and the chat just goes around in circles.
Am I looking in the wrong place for the label? How do I go about finding the label to print?
Thanks in advance

·2 years agohave you attempted all of this?
Return an item for a refund | eBay
...if yes, go to HELP and ask to speak to a supervisor

OP2 years agoThank you for the suggestion. I had already opened the Return an item and seller accepted.
I was finally able to talk to an agent and she sent a new label.

·2 years agoWhat kind of device are you using? I have not had to do a return where an ebay-generated label was provided, so I can only guess in order to troubleshoot, but if a PDF is involved, it might be automatically downloaded when you click the link, so double-check your downloads folder, and also check that your device / browser settings are not blocking it (mine blocks specific popups, and automatically downloaded PDFs sometimes get caught in this setting). I know some mobiles etc can block PDF downloads as well, because they can be problematic if from untrustworthy sources.
Also try disabling any adblocker you have, then doing a refresh (Shift + F5) of the page and see if that helps (I have no idea if it will, but wondering if there's script on the page being hidden by browser add-ons or settings so thought I'd throw that out there 😅 )

OP2 years agoThanks for your reply and tips. I have tried all that you suggested.
I am using a laptop and I have tried two different browser to open the link, one being google and I don't have an adblocker attached to that. Google isnt blocking any PDF's.
Just checked my downloads and it is not there.

·2 years agoI've never had to return an item, so can't help there. Is the seller in Australia?
