Seller accepted payment, cencelled my order and I have no way of contacting the seller or Ebay
Hi all.
So I purchased some fish food from a seller. The seller promptly accepted the order and took my money, however has marked the package as sent and then cancelled the order. The item never arrived and I have tried every which way to contact the seller or Ebay, however the website just puts me into an endless loop of automated messages and errors. Could someone from ebay please help me. I have lost $240 and hours of time on this so far.
Thanks

·3 years agoIf it is the latest seller who left feedback for you (they have pet supplies), they have very bad feedback and recently changed their ID too. The seller gave you fb in the past month, so hopefully you still have time to open a case (if it is indeed this seller).
I would have thought that if a seller cancels after payment, the refund is automatic... Have you checked your original source of payment?

·3 years agoBy the way, because you ask if somebody from eBay can help you... We are just ordinary members here, not eBay staff. If you really need to talk to eBay, try live chat from the help page, but you should be able to solve your issue with the help offered by other members in this thread.

·3 years agoYou are fully protected under eBay’s Money Back Guarantee, but you must open a refund request absolutely no later than 30 days after the latest EDD for a case of INR.
If your seller cannot prove delivery (with tracking indicating a delivery status), and you meet the other T&Cs, you should have no problem.
NOTE: If you don’t open a refund request within that timeframe, you are no longer covered.
If the seller doesn’t refund you within 3 business days, you should be able to escalate the case (aka ask eBay to step in).
If you allow the case to time out with no resolution, it will close without any refund and you cannot reopen it. The timeframe is 21 days, not a second more.
If it’s too late to open a MBG case, you can still open a PayPal refund request under Buyer Protection (if you paid through PayPal). Timeframe is within 180 days from the date of the transaction.
EDD = Estimated Delivery Date. eBay automatically generates an EDD range for orders.
INR = Item Not Received.
