Seller didn’t follow through with promised replacement
I received a faulty item from a seller and eBay encouraged me to sort out the issue with the seller. The seller promised a replacement item then ghosted me once the 30 day return window was up (and did not supply a replacement). Is there anything I can do? I lodged a complaint through PayPal but they also said that as 30 days had passed they would not do anything.

ebay also give you the tools to get your money back, rather than play games with dodgy sellers, so there was nothing to stop you from doing that after a week or so, rather than wait until it was too late to do anything
And the time limit with PayPal a dispute is 180 days, not 30
ebay is 30 days
Best thing to do is read up on the buying basics and open a dispute before it is too late to do so
