Hi received a damaged compressor from the seller. They were very reluctant to take the item back. Tried to tell me i would have to pay for return postage until I pointed out in their own documents it said they would pay for return of damaged items. $340.00 item they offered me $15.00 to keep it. After much negotiation they agreed to 40% refund. Refund didn’t turn up. I asked they said it was getting processed 10 to 15 days. No refund I asked again they said it will be soon.
they stretched it out to a time where EBay doesn’t look at the complaint.
I have sent this through to EBay their automated system won’t look at it.
There is no actual person to contact and speak with.Very disappointed with eBay.
Beware of this sellers. They know how to use EBay’s system to avoid their responsibilities to buyers on EBay.
If anyone has some advice please let me know.

·6 months agoI have a similar problem. The delivery note said that they cannot leave the package in a safe place @ 11.31PM , that is near midnight.
I doubt that they came to deliver my package snd it said the package is returned to the WestMeadows office, in Victoria.
if you can provide me with the address and phone number please, I will call them to deliver it or I can go collect it. Thanks.

And now you're going to have to be particularly careful because you posted your details on this forum.
Scammers view our forums regularly , including this thread today, and I can guarantee your details have now been passed around to possibly thousands of other scammers.
Be on high alert.
Check your eBay account regularly to make sure your country of registration hasn't changed.
Beware of phishing emails, fake text messages , phone calls etc
Change all your passwords regularly
Run all your spyware , keylogging and virus protection very regularly
Be extremely cautious from now on.

·6 months agoYes, one of my posts too. It’s also how I picked up this one

All eBay automatic feedback initially for fake transactions
Mostly selling / scamming on US site
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of Australian accounts involved
Also changed to Chile, Columbia , Argentina to name just a few.

·6 months agoAs you are aware, you had the option of using the Money Back Guarantee, but you chose not to do so.
By not taking action within the allowable timeframe, you in effect told eBay that there were no problems with your transaction.
There's no point in trying to contact anyone from eBay after the return period has passed, as they won't do a thing in relation to your transaction. Their policies (which you personally agreed to) are very clear on what is required of you, and they generally won't make any exceptions.
So my advice would be... if you ever receive an item which is not as described, rather than playing games, simply follow the correct procedure.

·6 months agoMy advice is NOT to post your email address on a public forum for scammers to see, use and share with other scammers
There is a highlighted banner warning people not to post contact details for that very reason
No need to play games and negotiate, you open and follow through with an item not as described dispute at the first hint the seller is not going to be helpful
Do allow a seller to string you along, you, the buyer are in control
You can speak to a person, but there is no point since you allowed it to go past the date you were covered by the MBG
Be disappointed in yourself for failing to do anything, you should be aware of the buying basics after 25 years of being on eBay
Better yet, avoid buying from dodgy as sellers like this one, feedback in the toilet, registered in China and drop shipping garbage with photos lifted from other websites
And no, I would never support such a dodgy seller in the first place
