Seller ignoring order cancellation request
Summary: In this discussion, cait_kelee6 is concerned about a seller who is ignoring their order cancellation request. richarboothe_0 and kh-jean also share their experiences and advice regarding similar situations, discussing how they handled unresponsive sellers. The conversation suggests that contacting customer service or escalating the issue through the platform's dispute resolution system might be effective solutions.
Hi I have bought an item worth 559 AUD by mistake and have requested to cancel order like 3 mins after the transaction and even sent a message but seller isn't responding to my msgs or the request even though its been like 5 hours since seller last updated his ad (meaning he's been active on ebay since 5 hours ago yet failed to respond to my msgs) What should I do? I want to cancel order asap so I can buy another one from a seller with a better reputation but ebay system says it may take 3 to 5 days for seller to respond
Is there any way to cancel immediately without sellers consent?

·2 years agoIf you want to cancel an order, you'll need to contact the seller and ask if they can cancel it for you. The seller can either accept or decline your cancellation request.

·2 years agoWhy buy just to turn around and cancel?
Wasting sellers time and possibly costing them a genuine sale
Sellers are not obligated to do so
Nor do they have to do it as soon as the buyer wants them too
Not sure the point of your post, the name will be removed by a mod and it is no poor reflection on the seller
Sell it yourself when it arrives
