Hi, I just bought a phone from Japan and the seller used images of the product that had the phone and it looked amazing .. so I bought the phone and now when I go to inspect the baught item it has different images that look worse and cracked... What should I do ??

·2 years agoYes, I can understand why you'd be freaking out a bit but I have a suspicion that cam is right & this is or could be a case of a seller with several of the same or similar item.
Wait till you get it & then see if it is the phone in the actual photos from the ad you bought from.
If it is not, go straight into a claim and add a photo of the damage. You can state that the damage was not shown in the original photos in the ad at the time you bought. I presume no damage was mentioned in that ad either, so in a just world, you should win the claim you'd think.
But wait and see and hopefully it's just a case of a seller with a few of the same model phones and you get exactly what you ordered. Good luck & let us know how it goes.

Have you considered what you will do if something goes belly up with the phone?

OP2 years agoYou can only buy ketai phones from Japan.. so it was a good deal for one.. wanted to try them out

·2 years agoWait until you receive the item. It looks to me as though they had more than one for sale in varying conditions, so as each phone sells they update the photos to the next in line rather than have a separate listing for each.
There is a possibility that the phone you get is the one you thought you were buying.
They have good feedback even if it is a relatively new account.
If what you get doesnt match the photos from when you bought then open a not as described case. When you go to the listing, at the top of the page there will be " this listing has been updated. You can see what you bought here" . Click on 'here' and it will take you to a page showing the photos from your sale.

·2 years agoThat indicates that picture has being changed a few times.
But when you view it you can see what the original picture was when you purchased (see original I think is the option), if its definitely different open an item not as described case. And dont close it till you get satisfaction

·2 years agoYou cannpt open a Not as Described dispute until you know it is Not as Described. Therefore, after you receive it.
Changing pics is not unusual - I do it often when I have multiple copies of books. Sometimes it's just the pic, sometimes pic and condition, sometimes pics and any other differences, but always the pic as the 1 I have listed now isn't the one I sold.

·2 years agoOh I didnt realise you hadnt received the item as yet, so how do you know its not the one in the picture at the time you purchased, I think you are jumping the gun, wait for the item. But as someone else said why oh why would you buy it from japan.

·2 years agoThe pics are probably for the current item for sale, Pics were updated after a sale on 22/4/24.
Listing also now shows "last item - 3 sold"
Anyway, nothing you can do until you receive the item and see what you actually get.
