Sellers selling Fake Jean Paul Gaultier Fragrances
Summary: dracken64* warns users about counterfeit Jean Paul Gaultier fragrances being sold online, particularly from China, that look genuine in photos but have defects in packaging and scent. xklipze781 confirms they received a counterfeit product and criticizes a platform for allowing such sales. Other participants emphasize that the platform isn't responsible for sales and advise xklipze781 to open a return request and avoid breaking the law by shipping dangerous goods. They also suggest utilizing the correct regional forum for better guidance and point out obvious warning signs about seller credibility.
Just be aware, many people are getting caught out by sellers selling Fake Jean Paul Gaultier Fragrances coming from CHINA. The bottles look real in the photos with many stating original product. Most of the tins are made from cardboard, the bottles often do not have the right size nozzle or JPG imprint at the base of the bottle and smell nothing like the original. Please do not waste your money.

It would best if you posted a thread on the US forum, just in case any of the rules and regulations are different on the US site. The US members may give you some extra information

·2 days agoI just got one of these counterfeits .
It's such a shame eBay is selling Counterfeit items they know 100% are counterfeit.
I read in the feedback of dozens of people buying this cologne all saying the same thing it is Counterfeit

·2 days ago · EditedYou'd be best off starting your own thread, rather than bumping one that's a year old... but while you're here, eBay aren't selling anything.
Why did you ignore the red flags and purchase a counterfeit product anyway?
As you've just received it, open a not as described return request. Don't close the request - regardless of whatever the seller may say or promise.
Remember that it's illegal to post counterfeit products and also to post perfume/aftershave/cologne without a dangerous goods contract, so don't break the law either.

If buyers choose to buy knock off perfumes, despite all the warnings and the utterly obvious that that is exactly what they are buying, that is the buyer's (very poor) choice
You yourself made the choice to buy from a seller with feedback that is so far beyond horrid it is not funny
Let's look at all the warnings
1167 of their 1421 'positives' were left by eBay bots NOT real buyers
They have 42 negs saying they sell fakes
The photos are clear as day lifted from other sites
What reason did you think you were buying something genuine when EVERYTHING about the seller and their lists is so very clearly fake?
And why on the forum for another country on a post that is over a year old?
Stop keeping such seller in business

·1 year agoChina is the home of cheap knock offs.
I can't see any of the regulars on this board suddenly going mad and ordering perfume from China but it doesn't surprise me to read that some people get caught out.
I think everyone needs to be more careful these days. The other day i saw ads on facebook, Melbourne shop supposedly closing down and selling things off at great discounts, as in $60 supposedly down from double that. I googled the shop but it didn't come up, wasn't on google maps either. Instant scam alert as far as i am concerned.
Then today I saw online a report from Channel 9 how some Chinese firms (including that "Melbourne" one) are deliberately lying and claiming to be in Australia. It's a breach of Australian advertising code but what can they do. Nothing. The same dresses are about $7-$15 on Temu and Ali express and we know what sort of quality they'd be!
People are going to have to be a bit more careful and really look into ads before they buy. It's the way of the world these days, unfortunately.

·1 year agoFake perfume from China, who'd thunk?
What is the feedback like for these sellers?
Any item numbers?
Much cheaper than retail price?
Very unlikely these random sellers registered in China have a dangerous goods to ship perfume to Australia so buyers should be aware of trying to import said dangerous goods at all in the first place
People will only waste their money if they a)Don't care who they buy from and support a seller no matter how dodgy
and
B) choose not to use the tools provide by eBay when they do and the purchase does indeed turn out to be dodgy
