the my ebay screen has changed with reference to my purchases.

now i find it very difficult to see what i have ordered and what has arrived.

before i would "leave feedback" and "hide order" when something arrived, but now hidden items are back, and other items i have had arrive are hard to find.

how can i get the old "purchases" format back, so that i can clearly see what i am still waiting for and especially what has not arrived?

I chose 1000 as an arbitrary number… as a smidgeon that might be enough to be a pinprick.

But 999,000 friends etc… is more than anyone would have, I suspect.

I've certainly told them what I think on many occasions.

    And told 'em good!

I am afraid sons_and_daughters is right, springyzone.

When they make changes, there is always (I think always at least) a "tell us what you think" link, but they don't revert changes if people are not happy, and they never reply either.

    @Charisma1986

I haven’t noticed any changes in my purchase page viewing, although I only use the eBay app, and I believe it’s set out differently….however…. I do have the Australia Post app and it links up with all my online shopping apps, so when a tracking is scanned at any AU facility, I am notified on my Australia Post App and it then gives me the option to name this delivery.

I can also add tracking details if I post something and be notified when it’s delivered.
Only works for AU tracking numbers so doesn’t work for overseas tracking, however, once it hits Aussie land, it’s usually given a new tracking number and will appear on your list in the AP app.

Easier than eBay purchase history IMO 😁

Also eBay purchase history tab (in the eBay app, at least) will only go back 4yrs, even when you have (all purchases) selected.
Might be easier to check your emails for ‘order confirmed’ if you’re expecting something but can’t remember what it was…..

My apologies if you already use this app and I’ve just told you something you already know. 😊

I think imastawka mentioned that it is supposed to enhance your eBay experience tongue-in-cheek. That's what eBay says (that they want to enhance our eBay experience), but hardly anybody agrees. Most people here strongly dislike eBay changes.

Personally, I don't like the new oval avatar either. It looks like a photo that could be on a tombstone... 😂

So Ebay only needs to do things to enhance your experience,  there are millions of users,  if they had to make it suit everyone,  nothing would have.

You ask 100 people how they would like an interface you will get 152.75 opionions.

    It's not all about you

as an ebay user it is somewhat about me though. user feedback is an important feature of design.

i want to know if theres a way to have it changed back as not all formats or features are set in stone.

if you dont want to be a helpful part of this discussion as your reply indicates, kindly find another thread to post your dismissive and unhelpful comments

You may be in luck. I was just in the 'My ebay' section & there was a blue link that said soemthing like 'Tell us what you think".

I think that is new? Not sure. But in any case, click on it. I suspect ebay has made changes and now for a short time, they are willing to get some feedback. This is your chance.

The "tell us what you think" links have been there for YEARS. People click on them, nothing changes.

My bad.😧 You know, I'd never really noticed the link till I started seeing the posts about people wanting to let ebay know what they think.

I'm guessing you are right & they probably don't take much notice of complaints.

I wonder if someone had a brilliant idea or suggestion if they would pass that on higher up?

    Probably not, as you say.

Ebay is changing all the time though, in small ways. A tweak here, a tweak there.

My own theory is that they pay more attention to things that are causing practical problems for them eg people trying to avoid fees, disputes etc

That's 10 minutes of your life you'll never get back. Obviously you didn't read the other replies after the one you replied to. You have completely wasted your time. Absolutely nothing will change by clicking that link. It's been there for well over 15 years. It's there to make people feel better by thinking they can make a change. Newsflash, the reports are completely ignored.

If you have 1000 or so friends, relatives or connections, all of whom buy on eBay, and you can get all of them to click that link and tell eBay that they will no longer use it, and each of them then cancels their eBay account, it might impinge on eBay’s design-deciding consciousness.

Otherwise… eBay knows that most people who complain about a change will end up getting used to it and will continue to use eBay.

You have to remember Countess, that from millions and millions and millions of users worldwide, those 1,000 members aren't even a grain of sand on a beach to ebay. They aren't going to make a blip of difference if they all close their accounts down. Ebay knows it and they don't care.

They're fiddling to 'enhance your ebay experience'

You can't get the old format back, but...

On the right hand side of your purchase page, there is a drop down menu - click on that for 2023 and it should show what's awaiting receipt and/or feedback.

    It does for me anyway.
