US Seller Shipped via UPS to My PO Box – But UPS Doesn’t Deliver to PO Boxes in Australia
Summary: fourwalls1947 has encountered a problem where a US seller mistakenly shipped a package to their PO Box using UPS, not realizing that UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes in Australia. The post does not contain any follow-up responses or solutions yet.
Hi,
Yesterday I ordered a product from a US seller and had it sent to my PO Box here in Australia. I've just received the tracking details and noticed that it’s being shipped via UPS, which I now realise doesn’t deliver to PO Boxes in Australia.
The tracking currently just says:
"Order information received"
So it looks like the parcel hasn’t been picked up yet by UPS.
The parcel is addressed to me (in my name), but unfortunately I’m mostly housebound and wouldn’t be able to collect it if it ends up at a depot or is held somewhere.
Has anyone else experienced this before? What actually happens when a UPS parcel is sent to a PO Box here? Will it be returned to sender automatically, or is there a way to update the address in time?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
