Purchased solar sensor lights 26/8/25 with 5 YEAR WARRANTY!
One stopped working completely after 3 months and seller not interested as far as warranty concerned.
Reported to eBay and they are on the side of the seller.
Just want to let other eBayers to be wary of this seller.

·8 months agoDetails have been removed by the mods, which is to be expected. It goes against the rules to name individual sellers.
Realistically though, even if we could all see who you bought from, the odds are extremely small that any of us here would be buying from the same seller or looking for the same items. There are thousands of sellers on ebay. I've bought hundreds of things over the years and only a few times have I bought from the same sellers.
Your best bet to avoid bad sellers on ebay, and everyone else's best bet, is to read the feedback given to the seller you're thinking of buying something from. That way, you see their recent record and you're able to take note of any major problems they seem to be having and avoid buying from them if feedback comment after comment tells you they are dodgy or give trouble.
Sandy is right. If you ignored feedback that was there in front of you as you were actually buying, then how effective do you think any warning will be for anyone here, who may not be looking at that seller or come across them for months, years even? Would they be likely to recall the seller name then? I don't think so.
The seller is not interested after 3 months as they know very well that the ebay money back guarantee is not a warranty. It covers problems people encounter in the month after a sale-maybe the item doesn't arrive or is faulty or not as described when it does arrive.
Some random sellers do claim their items are covered by warranty but quite often, they are just words on a screen and your odds of getting anything fixed or replaced are low. As you have discovered.
To improve your odds of a better buying experience
-don't buy from overseas sellers
-don't buy anything needing a warranty unless it is from an authorised seller
-read feedback first and avoid most sellers whose feedback is under 99%, they are more likely to be trouble.

the seller’s photos are clearly lifted from other websites and most likely they are drop shipping garbage from China
For there to be a real warranty, not just a word on the screen, the item needs to be from an authorised seller/re-seller
Not a random selling unbranded rubbish
They have more than enough negs to turn people away, which you ignored and bought anyway
No point warning others members here, as you agreed not to ‘name and shame’ and the seller will be removed when a mod is next online
You can’t buy from a seller with that many negs and then expect other people to take any more notice of you than you did of the two dozen negs this seller already had
There is nothing to report to eBay, you bought too long ago to be covered by the MBG
