Why aren't sellers told they cannot ship to Parcel lockers if using Couriers ?

3 times in the last 2 months I have bought items on Ebay and used my Australia Post Parcel locker as the shipping destination. Normally, sellers pop up a message to say they do not ship to PO boxes. PO Boxes are not the same as Parcel Lockers, but that isn't the issue. Only items Shipped by Australia Post can use Parcel lockers. In all 3 cases the sellers used couriers to try to ship to the Parcel locker. I spoke with Australia post who tole me that they will not accept any parcels from couriers for their parcel lockers. To use a parcel locker the item must have an Australia Post label created. AliExpress seems to know this and routes their parcels via hubs like "4PX Express Co., Ltd., VIC" or "UCL Co. Ltd, VIC". But these supposedly experienced sellers decided to use Couriers. What's worse in two cases the Tracking history claimed the parcel had been delivered and in the 3rd the seller wanted me to do a 30Km round trip to go pick the item up at the warehouse. Either no one is telling the sellers or its some kind of low-level fraud. The last seller claimed to be selling from Perth when in fact the item was coming from Aliexpress in China and the estimated delivery date was just made up. If they just said we do not use Australia Post it would be fine, i could buy elsewhere but when this occurs it takes months to be resolved.

·1 year agoOkay, there are a number of things going on here.
1. Before you buy, you need to look more carefully at the postage section in the ads. Click on the 'More details'.
If it just says standard delivery or courier, avoid buying. Usually if you buy from Australian sellers who are using Australia Post, it will specifically say so in the ad.
2. This brings us to the next thing. You often seem to buy from sellers overseas. You need to always check out the seller location before you buy and it may not be the same as the item location listed in the ad. To get to see where a seller is located, click on the seller name (a few times if you have to) till you get to a section that has a tab that says "About".
The tabs will say categories /shop/ sale/ About/ Feedback.
If the About tab shows them registered overseas, there's a really high chance the item won't be coming via Australia Post, no matter what the item location says.
My advice would be-buy from Australian sellers. Also, if you're buying things such as vitamins or food products, I would strongly advise you not to buy from China. Doesn't matter what the ad says, you don't know what's in them and Australian regulations don't apply. Remember that. They are overseas, they are virtually untouchable.
3. Big volume sellers really should have a feedback score around 99% or even higher. I know 94% might sound good but in ebay land, that is actually a low score and means there have been multiple problems. Ebay may still label them as one of ebay's best or most reputable sellers. That's because they sell a lot. It is no guarantee that what they sell is good quality or that there aren't problems.
4. The estimated delivery date is not a wild guess. It has to be adhered to by the seller. If you buy and something doesn't arrive by then, it is up to you to immediately make a proper ebay claim for item not received. Don't contact seller, just do it and follow through for a full refund. No need to 'take months to resolve'.
In summary, buy from Australian sellers, double check postage method (and when in doubt, ask before buying), check feedback, open an ebay claim if item is late.
And leave feedback-it helps other buyers.

Avoidable by checking feedback before you buy
Just a random look at you public feedback, several in China, one in Poland and one in Australia with horrid feedback
Why does it take months to resolve problems?
The estimated delivery date is shown before you buy
You open and follow through with the appropriate dispute
Or, better yet, stop supporting dodgy sellers

Seller D who has left you feedback is registered in China and clearly dropshipping.
'Supposedly' the Items are all over Australia and the usual rubbish showing - "AU seller" and the "Australian flag"
Chinese sellers LIE about item location.
If this is the seller who sent from AliExpress, or whichever seller it is, , please leave appropriate feedback to warn other buyers.
It's completely against the rules to send items directly from AlieXpress, Amazon etc
