Why can't I contact or get a response from ebay about seller selling me faulty batteries
After batteries ebay sold faulty and won't refund the money accordingly will be my next step

·1 year agoWhat kind of batteries were they? Keepimg faulty lithium batteries about the home could lead to more serious problems then not getting what you ordered - if:
1) You try to charge them
2) The casings get damaged.

·1 year agoWhy did you not open and follow through with an item not as described dispute?
There is a time limit of 30 days to do so
Your only feedback from the seller shows as 'last 6 months'
Did you make a more recent purchase from them?
eBay do not sell anything and you do not need to contact eBay in order to open a dispute
Since you have left it too late, if you paid with PayPal you have 180 days to open a dispute there
And avoid buying something like batteries from some random on eBay, especially one who lifts their photos from other websites, and more than likely dropshipped dodgy batteries from China

·1 year agoThere are thousands of sellers who advertise on ebay. Ebay itself isn't selling these things. But for buyer confidence, they have a money back guarantee.
If you buy something and either it doesn't arrive in time or is faulty or not matching the description in the ad, then you have 30 days from the expected arrival date in which to open an ebay claim for a full refund.
Note though that ebay does not cover warranty issues. You need to be very careful which sellers you buy from as any warranty mentioned in an ad is quite possibly worthless.
So basically, you are well out of time to make an ebay claim, if you bought back in Dec, which is probably why the seller is ignoring you.
That seller has a feedback score of 97.3% which believe it or not, is pretty low for a volume seller. Always have a look at feedback comments before you buy.
Did you buy using paypal? if so, you have 180 days in which to claim but only for faulty products or items not received, not warranty issues.
You say they have 'closed their doors'. I noticed the seller stated they had a boutique store in Melbourne. Were they ever open? I can't find any record of such a place but I am no expert online detective.
My feeling is if this is a warranty issue you may not get that far if this is not a business/company and you have no proper warranty. And you won't get anywhere if it arrived faulty and you took no action within the month to make a claim.
But it would be interesting to know how you get on so please let us know what happens.
