won’t let me upload a tracking number so now can’t get paid out now item has been delivered.

I sold a fairly expensive watch a week or so ago, packed it up and took it to the post office along with some other items like i always do. After sending I went in and uploaded the tracking information for the other items, however, it wouldnt let me do it for this one. I messaged the buyer with the tracking and contacted eBay chat re the issue. They informed me that for that item I was meant to purchase postage through eBay (I didn’t realise this was now a thing for domestic parcels) and as such I couldn’t upload tracking information and they couldn’t either. They advised that once it had been delivered to reach out again to chat and they would arrange payment. Fast forward a few days and now the item has been delivered. Buyer confirmed they are happy - so I reach out to eBay chat again… apparently nothing they can do … I just don’t get paid out my $2k… Any assistance would be appreciated.

Nobody's posting any more it seems. No wonder

Well I think the fact that virtually no-one is posting says it all about the new 'enhanced' boards!

Lodging A Formal Complaint Against Ebay

Hi there, Can someone let me know how to lodge a formal complaint against ebay. I have been selling for years, and they recently told me since I used holiday mode that it is a flag on my account and have frozen all payouts. Years of selling history and only 5 star feedback for selling high value items. When I try to contact them I get told there is no open cases to review, and I can't seem to bypass the chat bot nor can I can a way to lodge a formal complaint. I need a reference number so I can report to AFCA.

      Keep penalising the buyers

TO: Sarah ***, Was it your decision to restrict sellers payments from 2-3 days to "until the item is delivered"? Let me tell you how this really hurts the sellers. If sellers must wait for delivery of items across Australia - sometimes up to 6 days - and weeks when the sale us international the seller is without funds for reinvestment to buy new stock. This payment to the seller delay restricts the sellers ability to keep stock listed. This restricts the sellers ability to sell hence it hurts eBay because the seller is unable to offer new listings. Less sales for the sellers and less sales for eBay. Over the years I have seen policy decisions by eBay leadership make it more difficult for sellers to operate within the rules. This change in the payment system definitely hurts sellers and it strikes at eBays bottom line. So when eBay and PayPal parted ways this hurt the sellers going from instant payment to 2-3 days. Now, as an example I just experienced I will not get paid until my international sale is delivered - up to 3 weeks! And what I would like to know how does eBay know when international items are delivered because many international postal systems are not tied in with eBay and many do not bother to scan in when items are delivered. So this further delays in my payment I am forced to contact the buyer and then prove to eBay the customer has received the item. eBay over the years has devalued the most important partner - the seller in favour of excessively protecting the buyer from scams. eBay is quick to side with the buyer regardless of the facts. If you have no sellers you have no business. We sellers keep this company in business. What comes first in the scheme? Without someone investing in the stock you have no buyers. The seller is taking all the risks. Compensate the seller without delay and keep them happy. Stop with progressively penalising the sell. You need them and you need to keep them happy.

Shipment stopped. Refund paid to me. No explanation. Items not returned to seller. Items classified as - 'disposed of'. Seller and buyer in the dark! What has happened to my order Which I still want? Regards, Peter.

Tracked letter postage changes July 26

According to AP's July 2026 Post charges, 'medium' tracked letters are no longer C5 and can carry a maximum 5mm of contents. C4 is the only 20mm option and are not much cheaper than an XS mailer. https://auspost.com.au/content/dam/auspost_corp/media/documents/post-guides/post-charges-guide-ms11.pdf

New EU 3 Euro flat fee on items

From July 1, all sold items valued under 150 euro sent to the EU will incur a 3 euro customs duty each. I have checked eBay announcements on whether eBay are facilitating this collection from buyers at the payment point as the importer, but couldn't find anything. Does anyone know anything more about this, or if eBay requires sellers to handle their own duties similar to the US import tariffs via Zonos?

      free to list and sell

We thought this free list and sell would be good. BUT there's a catch Firstly, you cannot do multiple relists or edits, they all have to be done one at a time. I have a bit of time to do that. But I am finding issues with that as well. Quite a lot of my items are now missing the postage somehow. I don't know how, as I put the postage on when they were first listed. when that happens, I have to check my book and see what it should be. sometimes when I hit the list button on the bottom, it won't save anything and wants me to do it again and again and again for that item. I get the feeling they offered free everything but are trying to force people out of it.

Item purchased but missing from “sold items” tab on ebay?

Hey there everyone, just a question as I have no way of contacting ebay for this matter. I recently bought an item off ebay (was a direct buy it now price, no best offer or discount), and my item has not come up in the “sold items” tab in ebay, even when I have copied and pasted the exact title. Any way of getting the item to appear in the ‘sold items’ area? Any help would be appreciated!
