To vote for the captions you like, please use the 👍🏻 “thumbs-up”.
Due to the reduced functionality and clunkiness of the new look boards, we must rely on an honour system whereby members don’t vote for their own captions.
The winner will be the caption that has the most 👍🏻 votes. The OP will edit the heading at the end of the challenge, to announce the winner in the heading.
In the event of a tie, the OP will decide the winner.
The winner will start the new round.

I’ve edited the opening post heading but it seems to be pending approval. 🤷

OP1 month ago@ambercat16 you may need to edit the post as there’s no caption visible…
Click onto the picture, then get cursor into the caption field that becomes visible, and type your caption. Click onto the caption’s save option, then save the post.
I have found that I must edit my captions in this way; the caption that I enter simply doesn’t “stick” until I edit the post and do it again.
If you want to type your caption simply as text (as we used to on the pre-brutalised boards), you may find that you can’t type under the image itself. Goodness knows what messy forum code prevents it… but in that case you can edit the post by deleting the image, entering a couple of new lines and rehabs placeholder text (or the caption wording), and then post the image above those lines.

·1 month agoThat's weird, both mine show captions when I look at them - admittedly, just words under the photo, not sort of attached to the photo like some others do. I tried to edit again, but as the words were there, gave up.

·1 month agoQuestion before I post my caption.....how do you guys get the caption under the pic? I can't seem to do it unless I cut and paste and then it looks different to the way you do it??

·1 month ago@ambercat16 I copy and paste the photo and then click near the bottom of the photo and a box comes up 'edit caption' I type in the box and the click the save button
That is on a laptop anyway
