I thought so, but hubby argued it was my imagination.   Very mild.

You’d have felt it, springy… except for being cradled in the gentle arms of Morpheus. Friends in Forrest Hill and Camberwell and Kilsyth felt it…

I was up taking photographs of the broken pillar between the two platforms of said cat tree, and soothing Ichabod after the shock he’d had when the cat tree fell. He had additional trauma with the earthquake, poor boy. Extra catnip treats for him, and lots of pats and being brushed with his special German cat brush…

Some people reported being woken by the shaking.

I was watching TV and heard a very loud 'boom' followed by the couch seemingly being hit from underneath.

As with previous earthquakes the room shook for a split second making my vision blurry.

Living on a main road I really thought it was a truck come through my front fence, until my phone alert told me what it was.  (I have had a car crash into my fence and throw that section of fence into the house)

They seem to be uncertain where the epicentre was, though.

Reports of Mornington Peninsula and Craigieburn - 2 vastly opposing locations.

All in all, a bit of excitement to get the blood flowing late at night.

Yes, my husband said he felt a bit of a shake when I asked him about it.

It would have to be a big one to wake me.

I do know what it's like though to hear the sound like a truck crashing, just before the tremors start.

Your cat has the good life, countess. We used to have a ginger cat. His name was Fonzie and he lived to a good age but passed about 9 years ago. Then this year we lost one of our dogs, Star. We still miss her. Only got a little dog, Ringo, left now.

Another one   !.36 am  - 3.6 this time - they're unsure of epicentre just yet.

Probably those giant worms in Gippsland are at it again.

Watching TV and the room plus sofa shook.

    The earth moved for me!

Never felt a thing but I was well unconscious by that time.

I am in Endeavour Hills though, so well to the South East & I am not sure how noticeable it would have been here.

Stawks... was ABC News Breakfast talking about you this morning?

They mentioned the truck under house experience.

    Hope all is ok.

Yes, it was a distinct tremor; not very long in duration, but noticeable.

Mind you, it came about an hour after the cat tree toppled when the top level became dislodged. Faulty support. So… we had a cattreequake and then an earthquake.
