And again a tantrum is added right away

One thing that hasn't changed from the REAL forum, absolutely fine to have an 'I didn't get my own way and I'm ME rant' and then abuse others for not providing special treatment on a velvet cushion

Too bad we did not get to keep all the good stuff (most of the good stuff)

What would happen if we all left the mothership…..seriously? Is that what George wants? How long do we keep bashing our heads against a wall and all the while, gaining nothing but angst?

I said I would give this a week……I am hosting the Music Challenge atm…….. after that ends I’m not sure I’ll waste my time…..seems futile

Some of it didn’t feel like a DDoS attack to me. It may be a false flag claim by the group in question… or I may be wrong.

If it was a genuine DDoS, it was made in circumstances and at a time when eBay IT were in the process of making some pivotal platform changes, and after eBay users have already been experiencing glitchy logins for months.

Yes - the login link redirected to the (not logged-in) Community page (looping), or to an error page.

It is of course “fixed” now – until the next gremlin starts singing a new verse of Hit the road, Jack.

Anyone else have issues all morning trying to do anything here?

Could not sign in, then it said I had signed in but I wasn't signed in

Tried another browser and got something about an upstream error

Tried another device and something about auth2failed (or some such) in the URL

Concerning when stuff like that happens, and it goes on for hours considering how many hijacked accounts are welcome with open arms to post on here and/or those who want tips on how to scam more people

Yes… annoying. The “prove you’re human” selection of images has occurred more than once. (But an even more annoying thing happens on two or three sites for me when accessing on my phone: the page reloads … and after ten seconds or so reloads again… and again… It’s like living in the Matrix when the cat goes by.)

Giving me shudders to read this. Not concerning ebay, but yesterday I was trying to redeem some Qantas frequent flyer points.

I would click on a category eg gift cards, luggage, whatever, to try to check out what was available and I would see it flash up on the screen for less than half a second, then revert immediately to the home page. I was on my computer so reluctantly decided I'd have to use the phone. Same thing there. And cart won't open at all. Rang help line, they have no idea why. But both devices? Why do these things happen to me and only me!

As for ebay, on threads with a lot of replies, they are rarely in proper chronological order. Sometimes I can see a name as last person to post so to find it, I have to click on name then 'replies' to specifically find it. Doesn't happen every time. But sometimes the latest replies can be 4 or 5 pages back.

It’s ridiculous

Four times in a row this afternoon, just trying to log out of the forum

I had their rubbish right every time, came up with the green tick every time and would then go back to the rubbish I had just successfully done

So called security measure to prevent ‘unauthorised’ people using the site yet they give their full support to those who hack accounts and to scammer sellers

I thought I was the only one!

I am on a computer and up till recently, I could log into ebay anytime and be signed in. I still can.

But the minute I click from there to come into the community boards, I have to sign in. It does ask if I want a text number or some such thing. No, I don't, the phone is nowhere near me! I live in fear that one day it will make it compulsory.

I am not going to explode about this… but please excuse a little, a very little, vent.

I am being signed out of the boards within minutes. I’ve signed in again and again and again and again and again and again, with more agains used than I’ve expressed. So far, today, 32 times.

(On my phone as I’m busy with mum for much of the day… and I’ll admit today’s excruciating knee pain has made me a little testier and less inclined to be sanguine about the repeated logging-in.)

And yes, I’ve also experienced only sporadic notification of the Helpfuls. The IT department have not been using their time to advantage, to put it politely. They get no Helpful vote from me.
