My old ebay account was cancelled and I want to use my old email address on the new account
Several years ago ebay cancelled my account for no reason. I had to set up a new account but use my work email address. I want to change it back to my personal email address but it wont allow this. How do you fix it.

From time to time, eBay will send some old, unused account holders an email requesting they log in to their account within 30 days.
If this isn't done, eBay will close the account.
The personal email address you used with that account will need to be ancient before being able to be used with a newer account but it is possible, as I've done it myself

·11 months agoThe short answer is... you don't.
eBay do not randomly suspend users without any reason. The reason for the suspension will be in the email you received advising you of same. It will also give details of what is required to have the suspension removed.
As you are aware, once you've been suspended, you are not permitted to open a new account to circumvent that suspension.
By posting here, you have brought your blatant policy violation into public view, which probably won't result in the outcome you are seeking.
You'd be best served by reviewing the account suspension notification email, and following the steps as advised.
