Changes to our Hazardous materials policy

From 19 April 2025, changes to our policy on selling hazardous materials on eBay will go live.
What's changing
We are adding examples of corrosive substances which may not be listed on eBay. These include ammonium hydroxide, formic acid, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sodium hydroxide, sodium hypochlorite and sulphuric acid.
We are clarifying that trichloroethylene may not be listed on eBay.
Next steps
If you sell these types of products, you will unfortunately no longer be able to list them. We recommend you end your listings prior to the updated policy taking effect. Listings that do not comply with our policies could be subject to removal.
