joint bank account
Hi
Ebay is saying my bank account details can not be verified , maybe it is because i have a joint bank account with my husband. Has anyone else had this issue? Any other ideas what the issue would be?
thanks Robyn

·1 year agomembers should look to keep eBay payments separate from everyday bank activities. There are numerous reasons for doing so, including accounting for taxation purposes.
I quarantine my main bank accounts from my eBay buying and selling activity by having a designated bank account just for eBay stuff.
I have a NAB fee-free savings account, with debit card, and top up the balance when I know I am going to buy anything on eBay. When I sell, my payments go into this account.
Having a designated eBay account also limits any potential losses (due to fraud) to the current balance in the account (usually less than $100).

·1 year agoI decided to open a new bank account when managed payments came in. The only deposits are from ebay and I transfer funds out on a regular basis. I feel a lot safer this way. You may want to consider doing something similar.

·1 year agoIf you are talking about signing up for Managed Payments with it, the name on the bank account must exactly match the name the eBay account is in
So yes, anyone's where both do not match will have the same issue
Aside from that, it also will need to be an Australian bank account that can be used for both deposits and withdrawals
