·1 year agoMuch as the OP should have known about the 30 day hold, is it any wonder why a new seller may query why
funds are being held after eBay gives them automatic positive feedback:
"This seller successfully completed an order"
IMO (and nothing whatsoever to do with the OP,) this needs to stop for high priced items like phones, iPads , cameras etc
The recent iPad scammer was rewarded with 4 positive automatic feedback from eBay.
Many buyers, especially new buyers, would see this as an eBay endorsement of a seller.

·1 year agoDid you read anything at all about selling on ebay before you started selling. It seems not.

·1 year agoYou are a new/infrequent seller, with no recent activity, so holds on your funds apply and the are very good reasons why, and you should already be aware of them, they are nothing new and were applied via paypal long before the new managed payments came in.
Your funds would normally be held for 30 days, however as the item is high risk and relatively high value, the hold is likely to be extended. As you have been made aware, by ebay, that the buyer has paid, you are now required to ship the item within your stated handling time.

·1 year agoAre you signed up to Managed Payments? ;
(Unless/until you are, no disbursement of funds will occur.)
Have you verified your bank account as per eBay’s requirements since MP was introduced?
Have you verified your ID with photo ID document as required? (Passport or D/L.)
Are you aware of the hold (30 days, I believe) on payouts to new sellers or to sellers who haven’t sold recently or regularly, even once they’re signed up to MP and are fully verified?

·1 year agoYou agreed to the hold when you listed
There is a reason, you are a news seller and the funds apply to every new seller
Did you actually read what you were agreeing to when you ticked the you had read and agreed to box?
Payments on hold | eBay
New seller
High priced item
Plus the buyer has not left feedback
The same will apply to the lens you have listed if it sells
Did you indeed fully complete sign up to Managed Payments and be verified to sell before doing so?
And you need to be aware items like that are magnets for scammers who 'target' new/inexperienced sellers
Especially if they do not know the selling basics
