No! Use the tools eBay give you. That is a relevant dispute. If you've already done that, proceed when available. Also report the seller for feedback extortion.

I doubt the person is still waiting for an answer, having asked in 2012.

As in your case, no, you do not have to 'lie' about your experience you report for feedback extortion

and you open whatever case is required. The seller doe not get a say

Zero 'community runaround' (whatever that means) involved

Use the tools you were given and stop playing with the seller

You do not have to pay to return a defective item either, if the seller wants the defective item back, they pay the postage

I doubt it. using the refund to coerse a good feedback is surely not ethical. for how do we know any positive feedback is true. I have this one guy who first offered 50% refund, then when I mentioned I wanted all money refunded. he wanted me to put a glowing feedback in return. so for my refund I must LIE about my buying experience. Ebay this cant be right. then when I left a neutral review and mentioned this he wanted me to send the defective item back. before a refund is given???? um where and is the registered post at my expense, i bet he would simply not pick it up and deny the refund anyway...... I'm trying to report it but all I get is the community runaround here like this poor bloke
