unknown credit card charges

Can anyone offer me any assistance?

I have 3x charges to my credit card all for the same amount with the transaction description of Ebay and an ebay number. I have nothing that matches in my purchase history nor remember buying anything on this date.

I can dispute with my bank but they want to cancel my credit card and I'm trying not to do that. Any advice? How can I contact Ebay and ask what the payment reference refers to?

Is the amount $49 or so?

If so, it’s your subscription to eBay Plus. You probably - in that case - went down the free trial route, not reading the T&Cs where it’s stated that if you don’t cancel the trial, it will automatically roll over to the paid subscription.

Or is it something else? What I’d the amount?

Thanks, no it was $112.49 ea. I've been able to chat online with ebay and it looks like it was a fraudulent transaction. I've been advised when it doesn't arrive to dispute for money back guarantee but they were unable to tell me what account it was paid from so I can make sure my credit card is removed.

Did you receive an email confirmation of your order? If yes, do you still have that email? You stated the transaction does not appear in your account so I'm not sure how you can lodge item not received. I think customer service may have given useless advice?? If it is fraudulent then don't wait!! Try a charge back from the bank

I certainly, no way, no how would be taking advice from customer service. They are reading from a script. You need to alert your bank to the THREE fraudulent transactions. Obviously a scammer has all your card details. Who knows how much more they are going to spend?
