Calculated shipping not working

recently i have been unable to post new items for sale as the shipping system is broken for me. its automatically adding weight and size of 25kg 200g 18cm X 16m X1 cm with a message below saying "These details are an estimate based on listings like yours: 25 kg 200 gm, 18.0 x 16.0 x 11.0 cm"
the items I sell are always max of 500g 20X20X20cm so I don't know where its pulling these numbers from.
I change the details to be correct and then attempt to change from flat rate to calculated but there is no services selected and no primary service to add.
i have tried this on different browsers and my phone rather then my computer but same issue. i have been able to put a few items up if I wait till later in the day sometimes making me think its a server side issue but its really odd and would apricate any help i can get on this matter.
