eBay Restricting Account In Error, due to site AI error - Live Chat Cannot Comprehend Issue
Summary: discountozpharmacy, a registered pharmacy seller on eBay, is experiencing ongoing issues with eBay's AI incorrectly flagging their over-the-counter medication listings as prohibited prescription items. Despite successfully appealing the removals, their account remains unjustly restricted due to cumulative strikes. discountozpharmacy has contacted eBay support multiple times without resolution. countessalmirena suggests ensuring ARTG numbers are included, but discountozpharmacy states that is not the issue. *casey* and another participant express frustration with eBay's handling of the situation and highlight the presence of unregulated sellers on the platform.
eBay AI has been flagging a number of my listings as prohibited (prescription only medication), this flag is an ERROR (we do not sell such items) the items we sell are listed as OVER THE COUNTER items, which are permitted on eBay.
We are an eBay registered pharmacy seller.
1/ We list an item, it gets flagged in ERROR as prescription only item (AI error by eBay)
2/ We appeal the removal of the item using the prescribed form
3/ The appeal is granted and the item is reinstated
This happens again and again... over 20-30 times in the past 2 weeks.
Only issue is the "flag" on the account is not removed, so it appears as though we are listing prohibited items OVER and OVER again and again.
First our account is restricted for 3 days, then 7 days now 10 DAYS !!
Live chat tells me to wait 48-72 hours for each appeal to be reviewed - Annoying enough, but even once the ONE instance of ONE item is cleared - our account still remains flagged, so EVERY FUTURE infraction (even if in error) results in account restriction/suspension.
No one at eBay comprehends this issue of cumulative strikes on an account leading to incorrect/unfair account restriction.
eBay chat agents simply end the chat and thank me - without comprehending the issue.
eBay Assistant:Your account isnt suspended just selling restriction you have appealed please wait for that team to review
eBay Assistant:Thank you for contacting eBay Customer Service, we appreciate your business. I hope you have a great day!

"Come on eBay you are killing quality sellers in the OTC medicine category!!"
Threads like this should be pinned to the top of the board.
So everyone can see how a registered pharmacy , an Australian business with perfect feedback, has been treated by eBay.
In the meantime, the site is FLOODED with shonky Chinese dropshippers selling unbranded pills and potions, dangerous products put together in a backyard / factory.
It's an absolute disgrace !

I couldn’t see your ARTG in the antihistamine listing; did I miss it? Or have you inadvertently forgot to include it in the listing?
As casey (another member on these boards) has posted in another very recent thread,
If that’s the issue, it is at least easy to remedy.

OP2 weeks agoNot the issue - AUST R numbers listed for items which are flagged - as stated all appeals I have lodged are granted - ie/ no penalty, but the cumulative effect of many reports leads to account restriction.

OP2 weeks ago · EditedStill no reply from eBay despite daily calls to "support", who take 15-20 minutes to tease out the issue, then tell me I will receive an email in 24-48 hours... which never occurs.... Come on eBay you are killing quality sellers in the OTC medicine category!!
