I click on "continue as private" and there is a circular icon with an arrow which rotates a couple of times and then disappears and then nothing. I tried doing this on the app and the exact same thing happens. if eBay could tell me why this is happening so I can set up my store that would be great.

Ok it turns out I have to click on "change to business" and verify my personal and banking details and submit it before the listing could go live. Why bother putting a button that says 'continue as private' if it doesn't do anything and you really have to click on the business option to register as an individual seller? Who designed that, honestly..Mark as solved.
