    Pitney Bowes Tracking

Summary: The discussion revolves around the topic of "Pitney Bowes Tracking." Initially, fortrosecastle starts the conversation, followed by responses from several participants, including twyngwyn and davewil1964. The conversation delves into aspects or queries regarding tracking mechanisms or issues using Pitney Bowes. davewil1964 shares insights or questions that trigger further interaction from fortrosecastle and sandypebbles, who contribute additional thoughts or clarifications. The thread sees a sequence of interactive responses aiming to address concerns or share information about the tracking service.

I have an ebay purchaed item that Pitney Bowes tracking says was delivered to my home on Wednesday the 14th. Given I was home at the so called delivery time I am 100% sure it was not delivered to my home. I have contacted the US seller and  they said it is not their problem especially since they used the ebay international shipping service. I have now tried to contact ebay through the “item has not arrived” option under “More action” but that option has disappeared because ebay thinks the item has been delivered. Can someone please give me some advice?

I actually hypothesis the item may have been passed on to another postal service such as Australia Post - if this is the case why would ebay allow Pitney Bowes put incorrect information on their tracking page?  If my hypothesis is correct, I would find this very frustrating to ebay clients because ebay effectively assumes the  information on the tracking page is gospel.

Standard practice, not an hypothesis. At which time you should have been given a new tracking number.

Ultimately if you don't get your item by the last estimated delivery date open a case for not delivered. Until then, stop sweating the small stuff.

Thanks Dave - that’s the issue, I can’t open a case for not delivered because ebay has taken the option away from me.  They also did not give a new tracking number.

I cannot see how the Pitney Bowes tracking would say it was delivered to your home address

They do not delivery directly from the US to someone's home in Australia

What was the estimated delivery date?

You won't be able to open a case for item not received until that has passed

As Dave has already said, once in Australia it would go to your home with Aussie Post (or whoever the local delivery people are here)

That is invaluable information Sandy - I have managed to open a case so I suspect I will get the parcel from AustPost some time in the next fortnight.
