Limit on saved searches? Can add more but only a limited number refresh/notify sorting by recently

    Hi there

I have over 150 saved searches & am pretty hyper-vigilant about checking them. They are mostly extremely specific & it is rare to get hits. I am noticing, after years of using it an constantly believing that every search term is refreshing each time I check, that in fact they are not. Only a limited number are, sorting by recently queried. If I have not clicked through from the saved list to a search on a term in a very long time, it seems to be no longer refreshing.

I am hypothesizing some number around 50 remain actually active. I noticed by clicking through to a saved search with no notifications, way down the list, and seeing results which I am certain I did not see before, because they contained a listing that I would absolutely have purchased. And did in fact.

Because most of my terms are so obscure I never really reach a total of 50 with hits, even if I leave it alone for a long time (which I do not). So I am not sure what the real limit is. I am guessing. I thought about experimentally adding very general terms that are guaranteed to get hits in a short time to test this - but I do not want to run into the "other" saved search limit, the limit of queries total that can be added. I may need to create a dummy account to do this, but I thought it would be simpler to ask first.

If some mechanic like I've described is actually in effect, it would debase the entire purpose of the saved search tool. Because, if I'm blind on ANY query in the list, and have no way of knowing which ones, then I am actually missing results due to utilizing the tool.

    Please elucidate for me...

    Regards,

A hoarder of antique audio electronics
