Why have you made some of my listings 4 day postage? Stop it. I did not authorize this and it creates a false expectation for the buyer. Put them back now & remove any feedback relating to delivery times.

·2 years agoI'm a buyer and the 4 day shipping makes buyers get a false expectations that buying from a seller with 4 day shipping means they will have it in 4 business days so they purchase from sellers with that in there add and become disappointed when it isn't arrive on the believed time .eBay need to stop this it's losing customers for it's sellers due to this falsehood

·2 years agoeBay are'nt going to stop it when they are the ones responsible for inserting it
There is no need for disappoint if buyers were to realise the estimated delivery date is just that, not a promise
All the seller(s) is required/responsible for is posting it within their stated handling time
Sellers are not responsible for the speed of the postal service any more than the buyer is
Regardless of how many grey dots you want to leave sellers, blaming them for the postal service's slowness

·3 years agoIf you have your postage listed in your item description as express post eBay reckons it will get there in four days update your postage to standard post and see if that helps. You should still be able to send it express if you choose to, alternatively you can alter your stated handling time. You can still post in a day or two even if you say it could take up to five days.

OP3 years agoThanks but all my listings are regular post.

·3 years agoThanks for the heads-up. If I want decals, I know where NOT to look.
qldrumble
OP3 years agoif you dont think ebay guaranteeing delivery in 4 days without sellers approval is not a problem when Auspost are lucky to get it anywhere under a week....dont know what to say.
davewil1964
·3 years agoFour day postage is not four day delivery. For letters, AP quote is 2-6 days, plus your handling time. That is the handling time you set for EVERY ONE of your listings. Presumably that is 4 days. If you're looking at your items using your selling ID distance won't come into it, and 4 days would probably be right.
I would say - "don't attack buyers who you don't have satisfactory dealings with". THAT is why I wouldn't buy from you

OP3 years agoebay are guaranteeing 4 day delivery on random listings highlighted in green
davewil1964
·3 years agoMaybe you have signed those listings up to eBay Plus, which includes an effectively free express option.
Your time would be better spent in analysing those listings.
I can manage 2100 listings, surely you can manage 1517?

·3 years agoI get the same 4 day postage that has free postage and think it is only available to those buyers who live a short distance from me. I changed from 1 to 2 days handling and still shows the offer and likely allows for this.

Good luck.

·3 years agoYou think you've got problems now.
I'm going to alter all your listings to same day delivery.
Then hide all your feedback... except the negatives.

·3 years agoSo after 15 years of selling on eBay you don't know how to contact eBay? This is not the way to contact eBay! You also don't know how eBay estimates delivery times. We fellow eBay users (just like you) have no control at all over what is displayed on your listings.
Given your propensity for blocking anyone who provides feedback you don't like or follows correct eBay procedure and opens a request, I'm wondering how massive your blocked buyers list is ( feel free to add me to it).
Your excruciatingly hypersensitive reactions to your feedback suggests you feel like a perennial victim with anger management issues. This is really not good for your health. The way to stop being victimised is to take responsibility for educating yourself as to how things actually work instead of constantly blaming everyone else.

·3 years ago0 feedback doesn't mean 0 experience.
Post this carp on the Powerseller's board and many of us lowlife wannabees could well give you the same answers we have given here.
To explain - many posters on the boards don't use their selling IDs to post. For many legitimate reasons. Including revenge buying. That doesn't make us lowlives, or wannabees. Just people trying to help other members out, when they have LEGITIMATE issues. You fell at the first hurdle.
sandypebbles
·3 years agoAnd you were able to find my seller ID how?
It is due to people like yourself that many members do not use their selling ID to post on the forum
People not liking hearing facts and revenge buying to teach the other member 'a lesson'
Having been a buyer for almost 20 years and a seller for almost as long
At least I don't blame other members for your opening rant, nor do I think I am so special eBay will read my comment on a member to member forum when they don't read anyone else's
Nor do I attack my buyers if they leave feedback I don't like
Lol
qldrumble
OP3 years agoI know how they want to be contacted but they don't help. Asked multiple times for them not to do this and they just ignore me. I don't constantly blame everyone else but thanks for the attempt at psychology. Lets see where your head is after 72000 feedback

·3 years agoWow,
A couple of comments
I didn't change your postage, if I did I would be hacking your account, please don't accuse me of that.
If a business can't post within 4 days, well I just don't believe they should be in business (my opinion)
Wow did you really leave those comments to some negative feedback you received, if I saw that there is no way I would buy from you. it shows me the calibre of your business. And yes you have 70,000 sales, that doesnt make it professional, it just shows there are a lot of people who are willing to buy from someone with dodgy feedback.

·3 years agoYour feedback percentage and your response to feedback left would have me hitting the back-button on your listings, along with your use of "private feedback" - which is really only meant for sensitive items or high priced items.

Bloody love it fits perfectly not to big not to small alot of ppl love it
(Private listing)
All of your feedback has private listing in the area where what the person bought should be. That is your choice ( how you listed it!) , not the buyer's.
Private listing is for sensitive items ( kink or extra strong deodorant) that some people might be embarrassed about. Having innocuous items as "private listing" will be interpreted by some as looking dodgy.

OP3 years agoHere is a hint ...every sale is a decal. ( stopping competitors from accessing your selling inventory history is good business practise ..nothing more )

·3 years agoLove this one.
When every listing has an amount of how many have sold - not difficult to figure the popularity for the competition.
