Buyer advises item not received - Where to go from here

Summary: astromonkee initiated a discussion about a buyer reporting that they have not received the item and is seeking guidance on the next steps. twyngwyn expressed their concerns and suggested looking into possible solutions, such as contacting the supplier or investigating shipping details. davewil1964 also contributed to the conversation, but it's unclear what specific advice or solution they offered.

I recently sold an item and posted to the buyer via Sendle, to which we both received confirmation that it was received from the tracking.

However, the buyer now advises that the item was never received, as he wasn't home, and there was nothing left on the porch or left with anyone to sign.

He has now asked for a resolution, with a refund most likely. I've already updated eBay with the tracking confirmation. He's asked me to reach out to Sendle, which I have and lodged a dispute.

Unfortunately they don't have any photographic evidence of the parcel being left. The guy is a bit fishy with requests and questions since the beginning.

He asked for a receipt, which I advised I didn't have one. He said he needed it because his item of the same model broke, and he couldn't get the warranty. After his purchase, he asked me on my feedback on the item, to which I was perplexed because if he had owned the same model, why would he ask me?

Sendle have provided me with a reference for my dispute to which I provided to the buyer. I don't understand why he hadn't reached out to them as this issue seems to be with him and the courier service provided. He stated he couldn't 'access' the tracking number, and it asked for the seller's email. I lodged a dispute with Sendle with just the tracking number.

Where should I go from here?

    Don’t use Sendle.

Buyer needs to take it up with Sendle, unfortunately!

    I see a chargeback on the horizon….😞

    Good luck

However if Sendle has provided proof of delivery, surely the onus is on the buyer to resolve it with Sendle and their carrier.
