Buyer filed a dispute they didn't recognise the transaction-Package received by carrier for delivery | Selling

Hi Guys, As a seller, today I received a dispute that the buyer did not recognise the transaction for a purchase that happened around 24 days ago. Buyer is from South America. Once i received their order and they paid i sent them an email to confirm their mailing address, personal details and so on and they confirmed (Have copies of emails). looking at the tracking of the parcel, it shows that the package has been "Received by postal carrier for delivery". I have about 4-5 days to resolve. Should i contact the buyer and check what the issue is OR should i wait for the package to be delivered OR Should I take action now and provide all the information I have except that I'm worried due to the fact the package hasn't been delivered. Any advice from similar sellers would be much appreciated.Does this happen often and were does the package end up?
