Buyer not responding to messages
Summary: In the discussion about "Buyer not responding to messages," several participants engage in addressing the issue. etronika starts the conversation, but their post content is unknown. twyngwyn, love_of_cars, padi*0409, domino-710, and lezned-toycollector contribute to the thread. The interaction appears to be centered on the concern of a buyer not engaging, although the exact details of their responses are not provided.
I sell personalised items 9on a different ID) and 99% of the time buyers will leave a note at checkout, or send me a message with the name required. I have recently had 2 buyers who haven't given me any notice of what name they require. I have messaged these buyers several times asking for the details required but as of yet had no reply. To keep everything documented I only use messaging just in case of disputes over correct spelling etc.. so I don't particulary want to phone them. What's the best way to move forward as I'm nearing my shipping deadline, cancel or just refund??

·1 year agoI used to sell personalised car posters and often had to chase up this kind of thing. When they wouldn't respond within a given time frame then I just cancel the sale.
THEN they respond and order again and provide the details!

OP1 year agoI cancelled one order as 'problem with buyers address' as even a phone call went unanswered. I sent an SMS to the second buyer who got aggressive claiming the number I contacted her on wasn't hers and shouldn't have been added to ebay, so cant win!
domino-710
·1 year agoLOL - she said the number you contacted her on wasn't hers ??
etronika
OP1 year agoYep, claimed it was her 'friends' number and not to contact her again on that number...

·1 year agoThere have been some really, really, really special individuals buying on eBay of recent times.
I've had one deny being the buyer and return the DVD for a refund - paid $10.95 for his $2.75 refund 😂
I've even had one abuse me for printing his contact details on the parcel because he didn't want his ex to know where he lives. He demanded that I retrieve the article from Australia Post and remove his details immediately. I have absolutely no idea how he thinks Australia Post can deliver anything without the receiver's contact details - extremely special 🤣🤣
In your situation, I would cancel the transaction and since there's an unidentified phone number, I'd also report the buyers account as being hijacked. See how they enjoy going through the account recovery process 😉

·1 year ago1. Not only buyers.
2. Unless change of mind - you paid the return.
3. What on earth does an EX - have to do with a current address.
Yep - extremely special - totally boggling.

·1 year agoYep... it was a change of mind return.

OP1 year agoShe finally supplied the name she wanted printing, so I went ahead and finalised her order. I think this buyer may make it onto my 'special' list. Some sales are just not worth the hassle...

·1 year agoPhone them and ask them to message you the details

OP1 year agoThanks twyngwyn, I have tried to call but they are not answering the phone either..
